It is hard to identify one moment or event that was a highlight because we had so many wonderful, authentic and culturally rich experiences... Our experience was excellent and exceeded expectations. We were a group of 15 and we felt very supported throughout the process. Read full review

Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

Planet

CARBON REDUCTION
Reduced Air Travel:
This cultural holiday in Ancient Greece is designed to minimize air travel. All transfers are by mini van or private car, eliminating the need for internal flights, thus reducing the tour's carbon footprint.
Vegetarian and Vegan Options:
During the whole tour our guests have the choice to taste vegetarian and vegan food options from the rich Greek cuisine that is full of such healthy dishes. Greece is famous for its Mediterranean cuisine, which is mainly based on extra virgin olive oil, vegetables and fruits of its fertile land.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Eco-Friendly Accommodations:
We ensure that almost all accommodations on this tour adhere to strict environmental policies, including water conservation through rainwater harvesting and waste management.
Local and Seasonal Food:
All suggested restaurants during the tour are specialized in seasonal and locally sourced food, cooking their recipes from raw materials from the central market of Athens, where you can find local production of livestock breeders and farmers from the whole Greece.
We also mostly work with local accommodations, whose owners have plans and policies on reducing or switching to certified palm oil, soy, and forestry products.

People

LOCAL ECONOMY
Locally-Owned Accommodations:
All of the accommodations on this tour are locally owned, ensuring that the revenue generated stays within the community. With locally-owned hotels, we ensure an authentic experience for the guests when visiting Northern Greece.
Local Economic Opportunities:
We prioritize local economic growth by employing guides native to each region we visit. The tour includes visits to local craft markets well known for its handmade items. We also suggest our visitors to buy handmade crafts during all over their holiday in Northern Greece, as the Old Town of Thessaloniki is full of such shops, contributing directly to the local economy.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
Local Employment:
All our partners in Northern Greece are locals, including those from marginalized communities.
Diversity Strategy:
To our per trip diverse partners we provide equal opportunities regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.

LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY
This tour is LGBTQ+ friendly. We strive to create an inclusive environment for all our guests.
