Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

CARBON REDUCTIONThis trip strives to be as low impact as possible.
-To get to our destination we walk or use public transport to keep our carbon footprint low and to enjoy being part of the local everyday life.
-The sunlight in Athens is plenty all year round, so the accommodation where our guests stay use solar power for hot water.
-During the welcome dinner many vegetarian & vegan options are available, and we eat healthy food with minimal processing.
ENVIRONMENT & WILDLIFE
-Our company wants to promote recycling and upcycling, so that nothing that can still be useful -in any possible way- ends up in the bin, and no more plastic ends up in the drainage. We support a zero waste mindset & lifestyle by using reusable or second hand materials for our arts and crafts, as much as possible, such as food containers as water dispensers, leftover newspapers and magazines for collages, old make up products as colours, etc.
-The accommodation follows the local recycling scheme separating paper, plastic, and glass, from other materials, and uses partially renewable energy from the sun for electricity and hot water.

LOCAL ECONOMYWe are a family run company, and to support the local community and the local economy at the highest level:
-Our holidays take place during the low season. By choosing to travel to Athens between November and April, you’ll experience the city at its most peaceful — with fewer crowds, quieter archaeological sites, and pleasantly mild weather instead of summer heatwaves.
-The cafes & restaurants we visit or recommend are small locally owned businesses.
-The studio we visit for the ceramics workshop is family run.
-The accommodation where our guests stay does not belong to a big scale international chain of hotels.
In addition, Greeks are famous for their hospitality and generosity. You will have the chance to experience this in every interaction with them.
EMPLOYMENT, INLCUSIVITY & DIVERSITY
Last, but not least, LGBTQ+ people are very welcome to participate in this holiday, and, of course, any kind of discrimination (race, gender, religion, nationality) is not accepted.
At the end of this journey there is possibility for the travellers to donate any unwanted items/clothing to people in need via organizations who support minorities.
