Planet
CARBON REDUCTIONTo ensure the air in Barcelona remains clean and emissions are reduced, a comprehensive approach is adopted focusing on sustainable transportation, dietary options, and programming. Emphasizing human-powered transport, particularly walking, helps minimize reliance on fossil fuels.
Promoting vegetarian and vegan dietary choices not only supports health but also significantly lowers the environmental impact of food production.
By concentrating events and activities within Barcelona or its immediate surroundings, the necessity for additional air travel, a major source of carbon emissions, is eliminated.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
In parallel, protecting the region's biodiversity is of paramount importance. This is achieved through meticulous selection and screening of accommodations that adhere to stringent environmental standards. These standards encompass a broad spectrum, including the management of various forms of pollution (solid waste, noise, and air quality) and efforts to reduce plastic usage. Furthermore, such accommodations are expected to contribute to the restoration of natural habitats in their vicinity.
Educating guests on how to diminish their environmental footprint is another critical step towards preserving the local ecosystem. Through these combined measures, significant strides are made in maintaining Barcelona's environmental integrity, ensuring both its air quality and biodiversity are protected for future generations.
