The holiday was exhausting but enjoyable and we felt very privileged to be able to see and experience so much of Brazil in such a short space of time. We loved the Pantanal and seeing so many birds, jaguars and other mammals up close. Read full reviewReviewed on 30 Sep 2024 by Dhananjay Kulkarni
It was a terrific holiday. Between Jardim - Amazon, Chapada, and Pentanal, we photographed more than 140 species of birds and 170 types of flowers, trees, fruits, and seeds. Read full reviewReviewed on 24 Jan 2024 by Yvette Willson
Top notch. It was all amazing because it was so varied but Iguazu falls was the highlight. The pathways allow you to really spend time & immerse yours in the surroundings. Read full reviewResponsible Travel

Planet
Our tailormade trips are designed to benefit the places we visit. This particular itinerary is heavily focussed on the wildlife of Brazil, exploring areas of significant environmental importance that have come under increasing threat in recent years. By visiting these areas and staying in hand-picked eco-focussed lodges, we bring money to the local community and conservation efforts, and help keep the attention of the wider world on the preservation of these habitats. For example on this itinerary you will stay at Refugio de Ilha Lodge in the Pantanal. The lodge are heavily involved in not just conservation tourism, but also ecosystem studies. The BBC series ‘Raising Sancho: The Orphan Giant Otter’ and also parts of the Freshwater episode of ‘Planet Earth’ were shot within the protected grounds of the lodge.
Wherever we tread, we do it lightly with a focus always on leaving a positive impact. With this in mind, we also encourage our guests to fly on holiday less often in order to reduce their carbon footprint, and where flying is unavoidable (such as reaching Brazil) to make sure the trip is a fully immersive and meaningful adventure. If we are to fly, we want that trip to be not just enjoyable but also educational and inspiring, with the aim of our guests then spreading the message about conservation and activism when they return home.
People
All of our trips have a 'Slow Travel' approach, and we have chosen a ground partner in Brazil who share our passion in providing responsible, community-based tourism. They are proud to work with local groups to help develop sustainable off-the-beaten-track tourism projects. These have the triple aim of providing guests with a more authentic cultural experience, bringing employment and investment to the local area, and also preserving the community and its culture. They are an award-winning, female-founded and owned organisation, with an additional goal of increasing diversity in the Brazilian tourism industry. As part of our commitment to the local communities, we also avoid any international chain hotels, prioritising independent local owner-run properties where possible. This keeps more money in the immediate area and helps provides business and employment opportunities to local people, whilst providing us and our guests with a more genuine and enriching stay as part of your tailormade Brazilian adventure.
