CARBON REDUCTION

Human-powered transport: During our time in Aviemore, we encourage low-impact travel by including guided walks through the Cairngorms National Park, local villages, and scenic nature trails. Whether wandering beside lochs, exploring ancient woodland, or strolling through the town centre, these peaceful walks reduce carbon emissions while allowing you to connect deeply with the Scottish Highlands.

Vegetarian and vegan options: We ensure vegetarian and vegan options are always available by partnering with local cafés, inns, and producers who celebrate Scotland’s seasonal and plant-based ingredients. From hearty root vegetable stews to locally baked oatcakes and wild berry desserts, our meals are delicious, inclusive, and sustainable.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

Cultural heritage and conservation: Aviemore sits within the Cairngorms National Park — a protected area rich in Scottish heritage and natural beauty. As we visit local landmarks, heritage sites, and community-run museums, we encourage respectful exploration. Entry fees and visits often support conservation and education initiatives that help preserve Highland culture and landscapes.

Local wildlife and natural habitats: The Highlands are home to red squirrels, golden eagles, ospreys, and rare Caledonian pine forests. On our guided nature walks and wildlife experiences, you’ll learn about the region’s native species and fragile habitats. Our local guides will share practical tips on reducing your impact, ensuring these ecosystems are protected for generations to come.

LOCAL ECONOMY

We proudly work with local guides, artisans, and independent businesses across Aviemore and the wider Cairngorms National Park. These local partners bring a wealth of knowledge about the Highlands’ rich landscapes, wildlife, and traditions. From family-run distilleries to craft workshops and Highland storytellers, we ensure your experience is rooted in authentic Scottish culture and community.

In line with our Responsible Tourism ethos, we prioritise supporting locally owned businesses and community-led initiatives that reflect values of sustainability, inclusivity, and heritage preservation. Whether enjoying a meal in a family pub or learning a traditional Highland craft, your visit directly benefits the people who call this area home.

Our itineraries include opportunities to learn about the unique history and cultural identity of the Highlands — from Gaelic traditions to crofting heritage. We take time to honour Scotland’s complex past and vibrant present, offering a deeper connection to place through respectful and meaningful experiences.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY

We are committed to inclusive employment and are proud to build a diverse team that includes visually impaired staff whenever possible. Our tailored and group holidays are designed specifically to meet the needs of the VI community, with accessibility, comfort, and dignity at the heart of everything we do.

We also welcome guests with a range of physical and mental health needs, offering flexible support throughout your holiday. Whether you're on a tailored trip or travelling as part of a group, our trained team and local guides ensure everyone receives the level of assistance they require — including support with personal care or mobility where needed. Every journey is designed to be enjoyable, empowering, and inclusive for all.
