Planet
CARBON REDUCTIONThis trip has an special sustainable focus, as you can see, most of the activities are hikings, relaxing enviroments, excursions (guided and free), so throughout your vacation you are going to be aware of the benefits of this way to move.
In the moment where walking it´s not an options due to long disctances, all our transfers use electric vehicles, ensuring minimal environmental impact. You will have so much fun while trining and challenging your body in activities like Monserrate in Bogotá, exploring the stunning Tayrona National Park in Medellín, walking through the Salt Cathedral, and a four-day trek to the Lost City, all designed to keep our carbon footprint low.
Although some domestic flights are required due to distances, (in this trip we have 2 flights, by land those journeys would take 9 and 18 hours or more each one), we offer shared ground transportation alternatives to further reduce carbon emissions. This is up to the client, but off course we can manage to help you. To complement, we are always attentive about climatic conditions, because in rainy seasons, the best alternative are flights, roads could suffer some accidents and we tried to prevent this situations for our clients. Additionally, all trips are customizable with vegetarian and vegan options available.
Also, you will se how the restaurants here are local and with the most fresh food, helping our farmers and families whose principal source of income is turism, restaurants and customer service.
ENVIROMENT AND WILDLIFE
This trip features sustainable accommodations, often equipped with rainwater recycling systems. Local expert guides accompany travelers, sharing knowledge of the region. A portion of each package (1%) supports reforestation projects in Colombia, Brazil, and Ecuador. Did we mention the organizations we are partnership with? Maybe you have heard of Saving Nature, Tree Nation or the Bioconservancy Foundation, well this is because, every trip with us is going to sum to reforestation and investigation projects, and those are our principals matters.
Guides highlight the benefits of self-powered transport, and as in the itinerary you can see, this experience is fully concentrated into sustainability and carbon reduction, incentivating boats, hikings, etc.. They also educate tourists on local species, emphasizing coexistence, habitat respect, and the challenges of extinction, fostering awareness and sensitivity toward wildlife preservation.
This trip offers great varity in national parks, wide open spaces, and with all this we have the responsibility to preserve it and make sure we are being cautious with everything.
