CARBON REDUCTION
Walking is a completely carbon-neutral mode of transportation. It doesn't rely on fossil fuels or emit any greenhouse gases directly during its operation. This aspect makes it one of the cleanest and most sustainable forms of transportation available. Therefore, while on this trip we support human powered transport through considering the option of hikes/nature walks to be part of the experience for example on days 4,7 and 11, guests will hike Sipi falls, the Narus Valley and the top of Murchison falls respectively. This therefore supports the reduction in carbon emission on the trip.

Solar panels do not emit any greenhouse gases during their operation. Unlike fossil fuel power plants that release Carbon dioxide and other pollutants into the atmosphere when generating electricity, solar panels produce electricity without any emissions. This directly reduces the carbon footprint associated with electricity generation. Therefore, on this trip, most of the accommodations used use renewable energy for example The Boma Hotel that uses solar water heaters for all their showers, Kara-Tunga, Rafiki Lodge Sipi etc.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Plants play a crucial role in sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. By growing plants at home, you can actively participate in reducing CO2 levels in the environment. This helps mitigate climate change and restores the natural balance of carbon in the atmosphere. The biggest percentage of accommodations used on this trip grow their own food for example The Boma Hotel that grows most of their salad and vegetables in their manager's garden and Kara-Tunga, Karamoja Safari Camp.

This trips includes entry fees to most of the parks and reserves for example at Pian-Upe entrance fees are $35, Kidepo Valley National Park entrance fees are $40 and Murchison Falls National Park entrance fees are $45. These National parks exist in areas surrounding local communities. Charging entrance fees creates opportunities for community development by allocating a portion of the revenue to community-based projects such as education, healthcare, infrastructure development, and livelihood programs. This helps foster a sense of ownership and incentivizes local communities to support conservation efforts.

LOCAL ECONOMY
Kara-tunga one of the accommodations that we use on this trip maximizes local economic opportunities through the Karamoja Workshops. These are tours aimed at connecting travelers with craftsmen, two-way sharing of knowledge, improving communities livelihoods and preserving cultural heritage. Through the workshops, craftsmen are able to double or triple their income and learn more about a potential group of buyers and fellow artists. On day 8, our guests get the opportunity to visit the local community, interact with them and get to learn more about their culture and way of life.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
The biggest percentage of people employed on this trip are from Uganda and mostly the locals. for example, for all the places visited, there are park rangers on ground or the people of the community that help with the guiding and explaining the different activities and cultures of their people since they know better about their ways of living. Like at Sipi falls, Murchison falls and so many others. This gives an opportunity to the locals to earn a living
