CARBON REDUCTION

Human-powered transport: While on safari in Eswatini, much of the exploration is done on foot or in specially adapted safari vehicles, allowing you to experience the bush at a gentle, immersive pace. On guided walks, feel the textures of grasslands, soils, and riverbanks beneath your feet, hear the rustle of leaves, the calls of birds, and the distant roar of wildlife. Short drives offer a comfortable way to cover longer distances while still engaging with the sights, sounds, and scents of the savannah and forests.

Vegetarian and vegan options: Throughout the safari, vegetarian and vegan meals are provided wherever possible. Local ingredients are used to create fresh, flavorful dishes. During cooking demonstrations or mealtime, you’ll be able to experience the aromas, textures, and flavours of Eswatini cuisine, ensuring that all dietary preferences are thoughtfully catered for.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

Heritage and culture: Eswatini’s rich cultural heritage is woven into every part of the safari experience. Visits to local communities and markets allow you to feel and explore traditional crafts such as weaving, beadwork, and pottery, experiencing the textures, tools, and stories behind each item. Many of these cultural sites are carefully preserved, and our visits contribute to the sustainability and protection of Eswatini’s living traditions.

Wildlife and environment: Eswatini is home to a remarkable range of wildlife, from elephants and rhinos to zebras, antelope, and countless bird species. On game drives and bush walks, you’ll hear the calls of birds, the rustle of small mammals, and the distant rumble of larger animals. You may also feel the textures of natural materials, such as bark, leaves, and river stones, as guides explain the ecosystem and the importance of protecting it. All wildlife encounters are conducted respectfully, emphasising conservation and the protection of natural habitats.

UNESCO and conservation sites: Eswatini is close to several important conservation areas, and while there are no UNESCO World Heritage sites within the country itself, our safaris highlight conservation projects and protected areas that preserve biodiversity and support local communities. You’ll learn how these areas sustain wildlife populations and maintain natural habitats for future generations.

LOCAL ECONOMY

We pride ourselves on engaging local guides for all our trips. On safari in Eswatini, this includes guided bush walks, visits to community projects, and tours of local markets and artisan workshops. Along the way, you will feel the textures of woven baskets, clay pots, and handcrafted beadwork, hear the chatter of local vendors, and smell the earthy scents of the countryside and traditional cooking. These experiences allow for a deeper connection with Eswatini’s unique culture, heritage, and way of life.

Following our ethos of Responsible Tourism, we are passionate about supporting local businesses and community initiatives. During the safari, you will meet artisans and community members who share their skills and stories, from traditional crafts to sustainable farming. These encounters help maintain livelihoods and preserve cultural traditions, while providing travellers with authentic, meaningful experiences.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY

As an inclusive employer, we are proud of our diverse and welcoming workforce, including visually impaired staff members. Our focus is to provide both Tailored and Group trips for the visually impaired community, while fostering an inclusive environment for all, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, ability, or sexual orientation.

Our safaris are carefully planned to cater to a range of needs, including those with physical or sensory impairments. Assistance is available from the moment a client arrives until departure. On Tailored holidays, support is provided as much or as little as required depending on individual levels of sight and mobility. On Group trips, support is generally provided at a ratio of one guide for every two clients, according to personal needs. Situations requiring additional support, such as personal care or help during meals, are assessed individually, and we always strive to ensure every traveller feels supported, included, and fully able to enjoy the experience.
