1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Actually making it to Everest Basecamp was amazing, however the whole journey was very special.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Getting the right kit list is really helpful for packing (the operator were great at providing this) We found water filters were a better way to drink safe water rather than buying bottled.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, the local businesses benefitted and our guide Dipesh helped guide us in terms of ethical purchasing.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Amazing, really informative and helpful guide and porters, very well orgnaised and structured, would recommend using this local operator to anyone without any hesitation

Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
We have always believed in tourism that prioritizes minimal impact on the natural environment and local culture while generating income and employment for local communities. This is responsible tourism—ecologically and culturally sensitive. Local people play a central role in sustainable tourism, actively participating and taking responsibility within the industry. We encourage locals to sell handicrafts, share stories, and interact with tourists to provide an authentic experience of their culture. Our guides provide practical information on protecting the environment, such as not littering, disposing of garbage in designated areas, establishing fire points during camping treks, and, when possible, giving food waste to domestic animals. We encourage clients to contribute small amounts to porters to help carry non-disposable items back by duffel. Bathing or washing clothes in streams should be avoided. We also limit group sizes to a maximum of 16 people to minimize environmental impact.
During this trek, trekkers have the opportunity to donate to the Everest Conservation Project, which plays a vital role in environmental protection and community development in the Everest region. The conservation area supports a high diversity of flora and fauna, including rare and endangered species such as the snow leopard, musk deer, Tibetan argali, Impeyan pheasant, and Tragopan pheasant. The project protects habitats ranging from subtropical Sal forests to perennial snow, helping maintain biodiversity and the ecological integrity of the central Himalayas.
People
We maximize our contribution to local communities by hiring guides and porters who are familiar with the culture. We encourage all clients to hire porters, providing employment and directing money straight back into the local economy. Porters carry no more than 25 kg to ensure safety and well-being. Trekkers stay in local lodges and teahouses operated by local people, which minimize environmental impact by using kerosene or gas fuel instead of firewood. We partner with the registered charity Chhahari Group Nepal, which has been serving Nepali society since 2001. Most of their projects directly benefit local communities affected by natural or political challenges. Other initiatives include orphanages, community schools, health camps, and scholarship programs. Currently, the organization supports a free community school for children from very poor families who cannot afford formal education.
