Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

CARBON REDUCTION:We're dedicated to ensuring that each and every holiday we organise has a positive impact, and one of the ways we do this is through our world-first carbon scoring system which allows us to carbon score every tailor-made trip we create. We ask all of our suppliers to fill out our carbon-scoring survey so that we, and they, can see their unique carbon score. This allows us and them to see exactly where they excel at sustainability and where they can improve. We offer the same service to our customers – all of our are individually assessed so that we can give you a carbon score for your tailor made holiday.
This trip includes many activities and hotels with low environmental-impact, such as walking tours as opposed to vehicular tours and homestays instead of grand chain hotels. We also offer vegetarian and vegan food to our customers.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE:
This trip is ultimately about educating you about the incredible biodiversity in Ecuador and the Galapagos, and letting you get involved with the conservation efforts that are under way. You will learn about Galapagos tortoise conservation efforts, Andean condor habitat conservation and the plight of the Andean spectacled bear.
Pre-travel all of our customers are presented with an online ‘travel pack’. Within this travel pack our customers receive all the detail about their trip. The detail includes useful information on the destinations they are travelling to, including, but not limited to, guidelines on what to pack to try and minimise the amount of luggage our customers take resulting in lower fuel usage on planes and other vehicles.

LOCAL ECONOMY:We are absolutely committed to the principle of responsible travel, and part of this means ensuring that local communities are at the centre of our supply chain on every facet of our itineraries. To enhance our customers' experiences and foster a deeper understanding of the delicate ecological balance of the regions they visit, our partners primarily employ local guides. These knowledgeable guides possess valuable insights into the land, wildlife, and environment. Notably, employing local guides also contributes to local job opportunities. Moreover, all the accommodations we utilize during our trips prioritize hiring local employees, supporting their communities, and bolstering the local economy through the sourcing of local food products. This approach not only reduces environmental impact due to decreased product travel but also generates revenue for the local population.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY:
This trip will take you to the Sacha WarmiKuna project where you will spend time with native Andean women, learning about their efforts to uplift their families by selling their knowledge, textiles and food. This fantastic project is designed to help these women step toward economic parity within their communities by allowing them to earn an income they would not otherwise have the opportunity to get.
