Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

Planet

Travel has the power to change how we think, to break down boundaries and to leave a positive imprint on communities. Our tourists travel in small groups so they have a minimal impact on the environment as we go and we are able to visit small scale producers and smaller local restaurants etc.

Suppliers
We cooperate with suppliers that share our environmental values. We use the services of hotels and guest houses that use solar power to heat water and generate electricity.

Transport
Passenger vehicles are a major pollution contributor, producing significant amounts of nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, and other pollution. In Georgia, we often use electric cars which have several benefits over conventional automobiles, including a significant reduction of local air pollution.

We respect the environment by our working policy. In our offices, we operate mainly with computers. We use emails rather than fax and do not print documents but store them on our computers and in online clouds. All of our invoices, travel information and travel documents to our clients are issued as PDF - not printed on paper.

People

During our gastronomic tour we work with local operator, who employs on our behalf local group leaders, drivers and the local site guides creating vital local employment.

The tourists overnight in accommodations that are locally run and staffed with people from the surrounding areas, which has a positive effect on employment levels and economy in the region.

When it comes to taking pictures of the people themselves, it is always advice our travelers to ask their permission beforehand. Respect their right to privacy if they decline the request.

Local crafts and culture
During our Gastronomic Tour to Georgia, the travelers will visit various local wineries and have interesting master classes on traditional food preparation. In wineries, our tourists can taste local wines, get acquainted with ancient Georgian traditions of winemaking and buy some local wines. During masterclasses, the tourists not only learn the recipes of national food preparation but also get acquainted with its history, while supporting local producers.

We also take our tourists to places where they can buy various handmade local souvenirs. Thus, they can both learn Armenian national customs and traditions and support local craft makers.

We also try to make a good relationship between tourist and locals by organizing lunches or dinners at local’s home. This gives a chance to both tourists and local people to meet each other's cultural differences and have a cultural exchange.
