Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

Planet

We provide responsible travel guidelines to all our travelers with advice on how they can help to preserve the environments they are visiting. Our guides are also trained to uphold this policy. An example of this is our behavior towards waste and ensuring our travelers adopt our green practices such as avoiding bringing materials such as plastic that cause the greater environmental impact. We try to minimize waste as much as possible and are careful to emphasize that clients should not damage or remove pieces from any historical sites they visit.

The maximum number of participants in our groups is 8-10 persons, as the routes are not designed for larger groups. This helps travelers to feel the whole authenticity of the area. Small groups don't cause negative impact either on the communities, nor on the environment.

Waste

There is a public recycling center in Georgia, which helps the country to implement modern principles of waste management that include saving resources and getting the economic effect by separating and subsequent recycling of waste. Separation corners offer an opportunity for people to take their sorted waste: glass, aluminum, plastic, paper and dispose it into the proper bin. So, we always encourage our tourists to throw their waste in the right place thereby help the country.

Water

We strongly believe reusable bottles are very important for health of the planet and always encourage travelers to have them. Georgia is a mountainous country and very rich in spring pure water. We in Georgia drink water from the tap and pour water from mountain springs. Mountains spring water is also drinkable and clean. To be on the safe side we advise travelers to bring drugged or metal filters to be sure water doesn't harm their stomach. This helps to minimize littering and plastic use in the country. Each day of the tour we also provide our travelers with water only filled in glass bottles.

Energy

We encourage our tourists to conserve energy and keep the use of air conditioners, lights and other electrical equipment to a minimum.

People

We are sure that our travellers will have a huge impact on the local communities while getting acquainted with their daily life. This gives a both travellers and local people the chance to understand each other's cultural differences. We always encourage our tourists to visit local markets, buy souvenirs and local products from local stores.

We always inform our travellers about local customs and traditions, communication issues and rules of conduct in the churches. Thus, we minimize the risk of misunderstanding with locals and disrespectful behavior in religious places. When it comes to taking pictures of the people themselves, it is always advisable for our travelers to ask their permission beforehand. Respect their right to privacy if they decline the request.

A fair deal
Working conditions are at the core of paid work and employment relationships. Generally speaking, working conditions cover a broad range of topics and issues, from working time to remuneration, as well as the physical conditions and mental demands that exist in the workplace. We ensure that we offer local people good working conditions with a fare wage.
