1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
I enjoyed the classes. The teaching from Claudio was first class. The dancers were patient and kind.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be flexible. Things can change at the last minute. Cash is king. Pesos for small local shops. The mosquitoes are persistent repellent is a must.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Staying in a casa benefits the people more. Use local shops. I would have liked to learn more about how the items we contributed were distributed.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Brilliant. I achieved my goals. The group got on very well together. I would recommend.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your Havana salsa holiday so much and that the dynamic with the others on the trip was so positive. Claudio is a very
experienced dance tutor and the rest of the dance team are indeed very kind and encouraging and used to partnering people of all levels of ability. We always
distribute the donations equally amongst the dance tutors and others involved in the running of the holiday so you can be assured that anything you donated
will have been very well received. Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments!

Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFEWhen in Cuba we encourage everyone to learn about the country, the culture of the local people and the places being visited. Our guides hold informal talks to inform about and discuss with travellers all aspects of local life. This helps to have a better understanding of the area and a deeper appreciation of the people who live there. It is our policy to carefully dispose of all waste whilst we are hiking in national parks.
CARBON REDUCTION
On this trip we aim to reduce our carbon footprint by localising all places that we visit in the itinerary. This means that all places are within walking distance and fuel powered tranport is seldom necesssary. We even opt for a guided walking tour as opposed to in a vehicle or classic car.
Our homestays make only the amount of food needed per guest, meaning food wastage is low. We can also cater to any dietary requirements with advance notice, inlcuding veganism and vegetariansim, and all food is sourced locally and seasonally, making the meals provided responsible and sustainable.
People
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY100% of the people that we employ on our trips are not only local to Cuba, but also local to each region of Cuba where we operate.. We create a source of fair income and opportunities for professional development and are proud to have a core team comprised primarily of women.
Although we do not have activities or excursions directly linked with LGBTQI+ businesses or locations included in our itinerary, we are LGBTQI+ supporters and encourage and welcome people of all genders and sexualities to join us in Cuba.
LOCAL ECONOMY
We encourage everyone to stay in local homes whilst we are on tour so as to be able to communicate with local people, even at a basic level, and to learn something of local life. All accommodation that we arrange directly benefits locally owned homestays, and we always employ local guides, dancers, musicians and language teachers who are treated well and paid fairly.
We support local Cuban businesses in every aspect of our trips thus contributing directly to the local economy and community, and regularly organise donations for local schools and educational projects.
