Holiday care companion service

Our intention is to make our holidays as accessible as possible. Whether you’re visually impaired, living with cognitive issues, or require the use of a wheelchair, no destination or activity should be off-limits. But we recognise that for some people, holidaying independently simply isn’t feasible, or desirable, if you require a degree of one-on-one support.

We’ve partnered with Able Community Care, who have over 45 years of experience in providing professional live-in home support. They can provide our travellers with a holiday care companion on trips with a minimum of five days.

Tailored to your specific needs

The service is completely tailored to your needs. For instance, it might include helping you get around, managing medication requirements, or assistance with bathing and dressing. And, of course, it’s not just care you get, but companionship, too. You have friendly accompaniment for meals, social activities and journeys. Essentially, whatever you need to enjoy a relaxed and rewarding holiday.

These dedicated carers can stay by your side for as long as needed, providing personal assistance and someone to share the experience with, from touring Scotland by train to taking a cruise along the River Nile.

Experience & credentials

All holiday care companions have at least one year’s experience in providing professional care, and usually much longer. Furthermore, all relevant qualifications and credentials are thoroughly checked so that you can have complete peace of mind about who you’re travelling with.

How to arrange a holiday care companion

If you’re interested in travelling with a professional care companion on one of our holidays, it’s very easy to arrange. Let them know where and when you’re planning to travel, what your holiday will involve, and what kind of support you’ll require.

Once you have established if a carer can be sourced, and the cost for the support you require, you simply book two places, for yourself and your companion, onto the holiday. Our own friendly Travel Team is available at all times to provide any assistance you need in making a booking through our tour operator partners.
