Beautiful snorkelling on Isabela Island, less touristy than Santa Cruz.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take account of the altitude and plan so you acclimatise before doing strenuous activities. Build in rest days so you don’t get tired3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Hard to be sure. Supporting sanctuaries helps. All hotels provided water to refill our own bottles which was good, all packed lunches included several plastic-wrapped, pre-packed items - biscuits, juice cartons, crisps. It would be nice to see less packaging. Several hotels seemed local run / owned.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent trip. Issues were sorted quickly although one bad guide had a significant impact on our trip. The local company was lovely to deal with and very helpful.Read the operator's response here:

Thanks so much for your feedback. As we spoke about at the time we were really sorry about your guide for the Quilotoa Loop. Our guides in Ecuador normally receive the highest level of feedback from our clients so this really did come as a shock to us. As you know we immediately took him off the roster of guides used by our Ecuadorian partners and he is currently re-training to see if he is still capable of reaching the standards we expect of our guides.

Visiting the Rain Forest. Every day spent there resulted in a new experience.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Decide what you really want to see in the country that you are visiting.. If cities are not your thing then minimise the time there so as to spend more time looking at what interests you more. Rely on the advice/ suggestions of local and country guides.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Our feeling is that we did bring some small benefit to local people especially when we visitied a local indigenous tribe during out Rain Forest trip.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Yes. Supporting local tourism and the community in the Amazon area. Good awareness from all regarding the environment.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
