1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The day expeditions on land.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
This trip suits everyone's physical ability because there are options available at every stage. If you enjoy the outdoors, go for it! The ship is very well-organised — it has to be, as the weather is variable and the programme may change several times during the day (e.g. polar bear sightings can make an area unsuitable for landing). Merchandise and drinks on the ship are not expensive, and there’s really no need to spend anything extra, as all food and drink are included. This is great if you're travelling on a budget. 3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts, or supported conservation? Unfortunately, due to the weather, we were unable to land and spend money in a local village — though there aren’t many to begin with. Conservation was, of course, a very important part of the trip, and we made sure to leave only footprints.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent — probably the most enjoyable experience I have ever had.Dorothy Small review 20 Sep 2022
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The shear beauty of the fjords from high mountains to tundra to glaciers. We were so fortunate with the weather sun with clouds and calm seas. Not only that but seeing the Northern Lights not just once but 3 times. Having the opportunity to kayak and seeing the icebergs from sea level both kayaking and zodiac trips. Walking on the tundra and opportunity to see the flora and fauna. Due to fog one morning and the presence of polar bears another planned landings were not an option and new, unknown ones were found - going into the unknown for the crew plus passengers. Being able to venture up a fjord which is normally inaccessible due sea conditions but due to calm water we made it.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
If it is birds they want to see September is not the best month as the waders and small birds have migrated and many of the sea birds dispersed. Seeing any mammal either on land or at sea is the luck of the draw and the Northern Lights can be included so don’t set your heart on seeing these. Take the opportunity to attend the lectures which are informative and given by guides who are experts in their field. Get up early to see spectacular sun rises, misty clouds against the mountains. Make sure your credit card can be accepted via internet transaction to save disappointment- my card was not accepted in the Tourist Information shop in the village as a laptop was used rather than the normal keypad. Older passengers may not be able to see the colours of the Northern Lights - they can just be white - take photos and the green colours will be seen through the camera!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We only visited one village on the trip and it felt as if we were intruding- very few people around although the museum and church were opened. I found it quite disconcerting. It was made clear all through the trip how careful we had to be to prevent the introduction of foreign particles- this is very good practice. The Team reported to us how they would record sightings of whales etc. which would be passed on to the relevant researchers.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It will take a while just to realise what the trip meant to me but I enjoyed meeting people of like minds, the ship was extremely comfortable and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. Having the excellent weather was a great bonus and being to explore the area both on land and on sea met all my expectations.Lindsey Lucas review 6 Oct 2019

It was interesting that at Ittoqqortoormiit because we had to delay our landing due to weather conditions that te museum and shop were shut. It reminded me that we were visiting their town on their terms. Good efforts by the operators on reduced environmental impact4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It was excellent. The new ship was very comfortable and we were well looked after by staff and the expedition crew. The operator put together a good package for us.Rosemary Trubuhovich review 26 Sep 2019
