The awe-inspiring landscape of Greenland.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
* If you want to go kayaking, book well in advance as it is booked up quickly. * I found sitting in the zodiac really cold, even for short distances. In the end I put a fleece in a plastic bag and sat on it which made the zodiac rides less cold. * Be flexible and go with the flow, not everything will happen as scheduled or planned. * Make sure you are advised about special packages, discounts available etc at point of booking and shortly before the trip.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It is a cruise in a sparsely populated area, so I do not feel it benefited the locals. Unsure about the ships environmental impact or conservation support. However, it appeared that the crew / ship respected local people, their traditions, wildlife and nature; the ship was allowed a max speed of 5 knots only in most areas of the Scoresby Sund.4. Seeing Polar Bears close up, a pod of Walrus onshore and a group of 5 arctic fox cubs. Oh and seeing a glacier calve, sailing through ice, everyday brought something new and spectacular.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Read the required clothing list carefully, you WILL need warm clothes and especially waterproof trousers, it can get very splashy on the Zodiacs. They do supply boots and a warm jacket. You do not need any fancy clothes!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, the crew do everything to ensure the environmental impact is as small as possible. Great care is taken not to disturb the wildlife in their natural habitat.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
A holiday of a lifetime. The relaxed atmosphere on the boat meant mealtimes and activities were a very social affair. Although I went with my husband there were lots of single people on the trip and they seemed to have a great time.Susie Barrett review 3 Jan 2024

I love Scandinavia and wanted to see the Northern Lights and experience the darkness - the dark days are a strange experience.. Seeing the northern lights was great and a privilege. This cruise was also offered without a single supplement.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Unfortunately the holiday ended on a low due to the awful experience we had due a storm in the North Sea I rate the crew highly, they were brilliant but was sorely let down by the cruise company management in the way they were so inflexible in organising our journeys home especially as we had been delayed and we were arriving in London on Xmas eve. I have to praise Responsible Travel's partner and who I booked with. Once they had heard the news of the storm they contacted me onboard the ship to see if I was ok and if I needed anything.Edward Fritz review 14 Sep 2023

A BBQ lunch held on the ships outdoor patio deck facing a 250 foot high glacier in bright sunlight watching fresh ice falling from the glacier face into the aqua blue waters below.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
