1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Snorkelling with the Manta Rays.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
If booking accommodation pre and/or post trip do it at the same time as booking the trip.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It benefitted local people and supported local conservation groups, namely the Whale sharks and Save the Beach groups. One can't say the holiday reduces environmental impact in the Maldives as the presence of tourists on the Maldives produces a huge Environmental impact from arriving by plane, import of the majority of food consumed, rubbish produced and diesel burnt in transport. That is not to say that efforts were not made ie. the use of reusable bottles for drinking water. Visiting the Maldives is a conundrum. It is a beautiful place but the economy is dependant on tourism which is bound to negatively impact and put pressure on the environment and wildlife. I fear for it's future.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Absolutely brilliant, a great experience, the snorkelling with whale sharks, mantas and other reef dwellers. Zafe, the guide, was great and the crew were exceptional. They looked after us with great care and competence. The only problem we had was with the booking of the post accommodation, which was resolved, eventually.Ian Hunt review 2 Mar 2023

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Snorkelling with a group of feeding manta rays for about 40 minutes. Unforgettable.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take a few days on either side - go to one of the local islands. Actually - take the days beforehand, as it's hard to imagine anything living up to the boat trip (bearing in mind that we'd never been on a snorkelling trip or anything like this, so we can't compare).3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
All of the above to some extent. Guide was very aware of environmental impact, we also had talk from local working on conservation / research of whale sharks.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Fantastic. Again - can't compare to anything as such. Understand that many of the coral reefs have suffered from bleaching to some extent due in particular to the warm summers a few years back. Despite that, the fish life seemed amazing.Holiday Reviews
