1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Remote islands with stunning views and amazing food2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
This is not for total beginners - when the wind blows and weather turns the kayaking is very full on and a real challenge. Expect amazing scenery and fabulous food even though camping3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Definitely benefits local tourism and promotes environmental awareness4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
An amazing adventure but tougher than expectedRead the operator's response here:
Thanks so much Nick! Great to hear that you had such a great time and kept spirits high in spite of some windy weather. I just wanted to add a little comment for other travellers also. Our standard kayak to use is a double kayak. It's very stable, yet fast to paddle with the momentum of 2 persons. Single kayaks (like on this trip) are only available upon the request and they are indeed a lot harder work and a lot less stable.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The amazing scenery, staying on a private island and enjoying the most delicious food.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
You are going to transfer your packing into 1 x 20lt dry bag and 1 x 15lt dry bag, so be ruthless and take things that pack easy and dry quickly. Don't take currency as Scandinavia is card only....not that you'll need it when on the island.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Thomas and Helena were extremely careful to recycle everything; we ate a lot of foraged produce and the rest had been sourced locally from local suppliers.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It was fantastic - a real chance to enjoy birdsong, beautiful scenery and unwind. Thomas and Helena's backstory on the tour operator is fascinating and they are terrific hosts, with great stories, great company, fantastic hosts and also wonderful guide and chef.Bizarrely, even on the island, you still had 4G so could share photos and updates with loved ones.Nick Tillyer review 9 Jul 2019
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Some of the meals and meal prep, and sitting around the fire together. These were really good moments. Also the amazing setting, on this really nice, peaceful island.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Definitely consider how your are getting to the meeting point and have this planned out with plenty of contingency. The hardest part of this trip for me was the travel either side of the actual trip itself. Had a rather stressful time navigating Swedish public transport. And pack some flip flops, or canoeing shoes, being barefoot around the water was not ideal.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, the food was all locally sourced, and we had minimal impact on the island we stayed on.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
9/10 I think, was really enjoyable, and I got to do all the things I wanted to do, but still plenty of opportunity to relaxHoliday Reviews
