1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The hiking was wonderful, the temples were intersting and special, the Japanese people are lovely and there is no crime, no homelessness and many clean bathrooms to use; and the stays in Kotahira and the second night in Ryokans were memorable stays and included wonderful dinners. The Universal Hiking App worked very well and was very easy to use.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Use the Universal Hikes App; expect to use Japan's mass transit system as most hikes are not inn-to-inn and some days the travel times are long; and Days 4 & 5 of the hike took longer than expected.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We walked, used mass transmit, engaged with the environment, and supported local economy.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
