1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
It was all absolutely brilliant. I really enjoyed seeing the local artisans at their crafts, the carpet makers of Samarkand was of particular interest.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared for long days of guided tours and take some Euros.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, visiting the local craftsmen and women was a direct benefit to them. We also ate in many local restaurants not frequented by tourists.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
I loved this trip. It covered almost everything I wanted to see and do. I would recommend to anyone but you have to be prepared for some long days.Brigitte St John Austen review 19 Oct 2024
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Seeing the desert ruins from 2500BC. Staying in a hotel right next to Registan Square. I learnt so much about the history of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. Our guide was so knowledgeable. Beauty overload.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be ready for hordes of very noisy Italian, Spanish and Russian groups. Try to avoid at all costs. There was a good balance between arranged day outings and time to explore on our own - very important. But quite full on with some long bus journeys between cities.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Benefited local people by buying their crafts and services - otherwise not really4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
I loved every moment despite the crowds at some monuments/sights. Great guide, excellent choice of monuments to visit, well-organised and good accommodation.Susan Hitchman review 17 Apr 2023

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Registan Square in Samarkand. Stunning2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared for a basic lack of hygiene, with inevitable results! Public (toilets) are often poor and quite unsavoury. Seek out the best restaurants you can - they won’t be expensive and will offer something more exciting than the standard tourist menus of shashlik, plot or dumplings. Never drink the local tap water (including ice).3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Not really - other than providing them with the tourist dollar.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Guide was very good, group was a good mix and a manageable size. Overall very enjoyable.Holiday Reviews
