1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Seeing the baby orangutans on the boat trip and water enrichment with the orangutans2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Get an e-sim with Bytesim (not Airlo!) It's very humid so pack baggy clothes and wear short wellies, they get hot! Be ready to work hard, it's not a holiday, you feel like you are actually making a difference!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
All of the above! We shopped from the locals, we ate mostly veggie and most importantly, I felt like I was making a difference and helping the orangutans - finishing the tower on the new island was a great feeling, knowing Waru and Pony (orangutans) would be sitting on it (hopefully by the end of the year), instead of being in cages was a special feeling!4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
An incredible and unforgettable experience, learned lots of new skills, got out of my comfort zone and felt like I'd make a difference and done something good! Matt, our organiser was fantastic too.Holiday Reviews
You can trust Responsible Travel reviews because, unlike many other schemes, reviews can ONLY be written by people who we have verified have been on the holidays. In addition, we don't run these holidays ourselves - our only interest is giving you the best independent advice.
