1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Initially it was the way you gave me 3 local tour guide companies in Italy, enabling me to send proposals through and then make a decision and Chiara Domenicali from Bologna was the stand out best. Next was the preparation which was collaborative,well informed and guided by Chiara. Memorable was the contact with the guides that she organised as they provided the depth of information and provided education (they were all University trained) with regard to history, art, culture, so helpful to finding a 'real' experience. The towns chosen in collaboration and the sequencing was just incredible, jewel after jewel for us in Umbria, with the capacity to brush contact with local people who we found kind and interested in that we had come to visit from Australia. Many people at home are taking an interest in this journey and so I am passing on information about how to organise it as we did.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Engage in the process collaboratively, I had some of my pinions, judgements, ideas adjusted. I said to Chiara "well I am not visiting any churches as I am a 'recovering Catholic' and definitely not going to Assisi"!!!! Well, as she gently suggested 'I think you may like this', or 'I encourage you to do that', I was able to listen and really shifted considerably so benefiting myself personally and in my understadning of the Italian culture and Psyche. I felt quite close to the people in general as a result and developed a real fondness for them which resulted in many conversations typically using Google Translate!!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We were booked into the smaller local accomodation options, we ate at the small Trattorias, or Osterias, we stayed in an Agriturism place, we hired local guides 7 times, yes for sure our money went back into th local comunities. We are conservative in how we use products that negatively impact the environment, and we were exposed to situations where Forrest is being protected, or water monitored. The approach taken by Stile Italiano is consistent with sound enviornental values, which resonated with our values.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
I am recommending this operator and Chiara in particular, she shepherded me through many times, as an Australian not so famiiar with travel in Europe. Booking ahead transportation to and from airport and/or train stations. Expect little problems to come up, you can deal with them. Do not be bullied into tipping at restaurants.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We used local guides that were great. The guide in Florence recommended restaurants there and in Venice4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Need better instructions from the tour company. Eg a taxi to the start of the walk at Spoleto to Monteluco would have been more sensible. Also, taxi to start of walk on the Collepino walk. Should have been given as an option.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
