1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
It’s hard to single out one thing. We enjoyed wonderful accommodations, especially the cottage on Dalaro. The island hikes were all great, especially the section on Uto.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
It would be good to be comfortable using the Ride With GPS digital mapping program. The trails are mostly very well marked and the written directions mostly easy to understand. But in a few locations we were glad to have the GPS confirming we were on the right track. In a few other locations the written directions were what gave us confidence. So we recommend having both.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We loved the local restaurants and cafes we found and especially the bakery on Dalaro. The island communities and places we stayed made it easy to recycle. We appreciated hiking through nature reserves. To be honest, as far as benefiting the environment, we should probably have stayed home but where would be the fun in that?4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
When you don’t know the region or the language and you’ve never done a walking tour, it’s a real leap of faith to throw yourself on the mercy of a stranger to ensure you can get where you are going, have fun doing it and not worry too much. Remember mosquito / gnat spray! Add extra days in Stockholm. Don’t take much cash, it’s not used often3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, I think the local people are helped by the tourists4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We had a wonderful time - a beautiful country. It's difficult to pick highlights - the amazing scenery, the excellent accommodation and food, exploring remote islands, using semaphore to signal for the last ferry home, swimming off rocks after a day hiking, and cycling to sandy beaches. All well organised and planned by Carmen.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
We added an extra night on Uto and hired bikes, which was worth it. Make sure you buy packed lunched before setting off because you are unlikely to find places to eat - Carmen explains this. The bakery in Dalaro is perfect for getting your provisions for the day.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes using local transport - ferry, bus & train. All local accommodation & businesses.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
