1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Every trip was amazing - from racing across the waves on the speedboat, to paddling along the amazingly beautiful River Cetina to walking the streets of Split, Trogir and Sibenick - it was all memorable.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Bring cash with you as found the smaller, local businesses preferred this. Buying drinks and meals out etc was also more expensive than expected but tap water was drinkable and there were plenty of local supermarkets to keep costs down. The fruit and vegetable market in Trogir was also worth stopping at.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We really enjoyed having local guides showing us around and sharing their knowledge. Everyone we met was friendly and proud to be from the area.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Fantastic - we can’t wait to go back one day!Jo Boothroyd review 2 Aug 2025

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
To be honest, this is difficult as all the activities were memorable in their own way. The speedboat trips giving snorkelling opportunities in crystal clear water was exceptional - especially the local knowledge of our guide Tomo, who took us to the popular sites at times when the larger boats from Split were not there, and found us some idyllic quite island villages for lunch. The sea kayaking was also great fun, and for excitement the river rafting on the final day was exhilarating. The final group meal was at a lovely location with fantastic food2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take Water shoes for the rafting, and the beaches at Seget are shingle so water shoes are essential here too. A walk from Seget to Trogir was about 30 mins - it can be hot but is well worth it. The return water taxi left from Trogir near the main castle at the north end of the main channel quay and was a good way to get back to Seget.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Tomo took us to places where the impact of tourists was balanced against the needs of the local community. He also stated Responsible Travel was a good company to work with. The staff were all local to the area (ie had grown up in the area rather than moved there for work). The guides were honest about the actual impact of some aspects of tourism in the area and how they worked hard to work with the locals rather than just trying to please the tourists.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Outstanding from start to finish. The accommodation (the Apartment Mario II) was exceptionally clean, the aircon worked very well, the facilities at the apartment were modern and well finished. The village itself, Seget Donji, had enough beach bars without feeling crowded, you could always get a table with a view in the bars, there was no noise and no rowdiness at all - ideal for families. ALL trips were well run with airconditioned vehicles, always immaculate and bang on time. Our children (aged 16 and 21) loved it all, and we made really good friends on the trip.Joanne Morris review 20 Jul 2025
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
We really enjoyed the speedboat tours and rafting. Lovely final night meal in a traditional restaurant.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
It was a really well organised itinerary - our family of 4 - with 18 and 21 year old ‘children’ enjoyed the mix of activities. Tomo clearly is a very proud Croatian who loves showing off this country to visitors and is keen to ensure everyone is happy and enjoying their holiday.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It is a small locally run company- and we stayed in a lovely apartment owned by a local man. Used local shops and restaurants. Tour guides and activities all run by local companies.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
We all thoroughly enjoyed the week. We picked this itinerary rather than adult trips as we wanted to do the activities that this trip offered but actually I think any additional requests would have been sorted out. Everything ran smoothly and it was great to not have to plan our own activities for a change. We loved Seget it is a small low key resort but has everything you need - a lovely pedestrian prom that runs about 3km along shore. Can walk into Trogir.Emma Morrow review 12 Jul 2025

This holiday was truly fantastic. It far exceeded our expectations because Tomo and his team went to so much effort to make sure it did. Exciting but relaxing as everything was taken care of. The mix of history, local sites and water activities works brilliantly. The final meal was fabulous - a gorgeous end to a memorable week. Thank you!Anna Flanagan review 7 Jul 2025

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Honestly we all loved the holiday and ALL the components were fantastic. We can't single out a certain activity as individually we all enjoyed different aspects the most! Myself - city tours and exploring Husband - Rafting and Speed boats Son - Speed boats Daughter - Speed boats2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take water shoes if you have them. Expect basic accommodation and nothing more, it's clean and adequate. They provide towels but they're tiny and quite hard (definitely not your soft fluffy towels you might have at home) so you'll need Bath towels AND Beach towels. The earlyish start times (0830/9am) are for your benefit and aims to beat the coach loads of tourists. You'll be thankful.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Supported local businesses and local tours. Fantastic farewell meal in a traditional local restaurant4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
5 star. Every tour guide, especially Tomo, were fantastic. A great mix and balance of activities and down time.Clare Mallender review 14 Aug 2024

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
It was all very memorable and exciting but we particularly enjoyed the rafting, kayaking and speed boat trips. The team were exceptional. They were very helpful, caring and friendly and worked hard to ensure that everyone had a great time.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Ensure you have the itinerary emailed to you at the time of booking with you for reference as this is more detailed than the one provided on arrival but the arrival itinerary is required for meeting times and locations. We very much enjoyed canyoning on our free day.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
The holiday was run by a local family business and used local facilities.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
It was amazing. The apartment was spacious, in a good location and had a great sea view (but basic furniture as expected with 3-stars). All of the activities were exciting and great fun. The meals provided were substantial and tasty and the restaurants on the speed boat trips and on the last evening in lovely locations. The team were so caring and went out of their way to be helpful. Highly recommended. Would love to do it all again.Zoe Adhya review 22 Jul 2024

Great holiday! To improve it I would suggest to vary the food offered in the included meals, eg include fish rather than always meat and potatoesUrsula Jones review 20 Jul 2024

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Rafting on the final day was definitely the most exciting. Snorkelling in the beautiful clear waters around the islands was truly memorable. The location and the quality of the food at the farewell dinner was magical.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take the following: - Water bottles. The water is safe to drink. We bought a big bottle when we arrived and then used this keep in the fridge and fill up our water bottles each day to take out on the trips. - Lightweight towels - A waterproof bag - A water-tight phone pouch - Lots of suncream - Rash vests - Beach shoes - Hats or hair-covers. The sun is strong, but when you're out on the boat and it's windy you don't always feel it. - Insect repellent The itinerary is pretty high level which adds to the element of surprise each day! You'll be told where to meet and what time.Where food is included, it is normally local roasted meats and vegetables. Senet Donji has some lovely restaurants. Buta serves amazing local fish and other local dishes. The food has Italian influence so pizza is almost always an option.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
The holiday definitely benefited local people. Tomo and Carlo are from Trogir (which is a 1km walk up from Senet Donji). Our guide for Split and the Krka waterfall was Ivan. Ivan is from Split. Ivan was very knowledgable about Croatia and the history (I found out at the end of our holiday that he is a professor at university specialising in Croatian language). His stories were engaging and he recommended good places to eat in Split which served local food.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
This is a great holiday for families with teens. There is a mix of activities and downtime. The children really enjoyed the thrill of the speedboat, diving into the clear water and the rafting adventure. The team is lovely, local and knowledgable. The food is super. The apartments are quite basic, but they are comfortable and spacious. We didn't cook but there was an oven and a hob if you wanted to self cater. There is a local bakery just up the road which sells excellent bread and pastry and a cafe on the beach where you can have coffee (or take it away). There is a small supermarket in Senet Donji which is convenient.Julia Barnes review 15 Aug 2023
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The activities especially the snorkelling and swimming, rafting and kayaking2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Accommodation was very basic and wouldn’t pass health and safety in the UK so beware with your children. The hot water coming out of the pipes was boiling as were the pipes if touched. Also mattresses very uncomfortable and bring your own bath towels as ones provided were size of tea towels and very old.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes as local staff, restaurants and companies used through out for activities. However no information given as to whether water on apartments were safe to drink so we had to buy way too much bottled water. Plus the lunches provided were so generous that there was a lot of wasted food.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Great activities and apartment had lovely view but needed to be improved- new towels, new mattresses and pillows and hot water / boiler looked at.Read the operator's response here:

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Island hopping by speedboat between islands, then frequently cooling off, swimming from the boat. Sightseeing in Trogir and Sibenik. Rafting also very good.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared for very hot weather.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It benefited local people because the tour operator was local, arranging everything via local people, therefore it was the locals who received income rather than a huge corporate group. Island hopping.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent, relaxing holiday with guides giving insight into history and culture, also plenty of free time to go exploring and do your own thing.Holiday Reviews
