1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We saw some temples and forts that were incredible. In particular the Ranakpur Jaine Temple and the Fatehpur Sikri site. We lived the walk through old Delhi too.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Don't rush it. Build in some spare time. There is plenty to do.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, in a small way. We were happy to support small local businesses.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent. The tour operator was fantastic. Very responsive, sensitive to our needs, and the guide and driver were very high quality.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Visiting the village of Alley in Ladakh up in the mountains was an absolute highlight. The family running the lodge Shan at Ulley were wonderful. We saw a snow leopard, wolves, ibex, blue sheep, birds, yaks and lots of other animals. Seeing a tiger in Ranthambore was also a highlight.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared for crowds and noise in the cities but then the welcome relief of lovely accommodation. Ratan Villa in Jodhpur and the desert camp were fabulous and we wish we had stayed an extra night in each.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes to the local people, no to environmental impact as we all had water in plastic bottles and not sure about conservation other than we paid to visit Ulley and Ranthambore.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent. Our guide TJ and our driver Mahandra were wonderful. We saw lots of interesting forts, temples, palaces and natural environment. For people visiting, be prepared to see a LOT of rubbish and filth in India. The smog in Delhi is very bad but out in the country the air was clean. The local people we met were welcoming and friendly.
