We enjoyed many high lights – the first being the opportunity to drive ourselves on a six husky dog lead sleigh through pristine evergreen snowy forest – the Siberian huskies were a wonderful experience – our guide was knowledgeable, passionate and thorough and leading an exciting husky dog experience – it was such an adventure! Every component was outstanding. Tankavaara was perfect; food, staff, accommodation excellent...particularly loved the areas history. Trips were really well organised. Loved the husky sledding and the reindeer! On the last night the snowmobile trek onto the tundra was so exhilarating and we witnessed the most incredible northern lights.read more

The Husky Safari although it was all amazing. To be taken through such beautiful land by the dogs was a fantastic experience. Also the delicious soup they cooked for the lunch round a fire. We loved hearing all their stories too.read more

Loved all the activities but the husky sledding was the best. The view across the frozen lake was amazing in the day and a wonderful place to see the aurora at night. read more

Our guide Tapani was excellent, he was very knowledgeable on local land, walking, and living... For a snow winter holiday it was a very different experience, it gave you a real insight into the Finnish winter and it was a beautiful landscape.read more

I think I enjoyed the visit with the reindeer herder the most. It seemed very authentic and he provided a lot of info about their way of life. And the journey in the sledge over there was fun. The moonlit snowshoeing through the woods was pretty awesome too.read more

The holiday was full of fabulous new experiences, husky sledding was was the top of my list. The dogs were gorgeous and loved to be petted. The sledding was well within my comfort zone, not too fast but still exhilarating and I loved the husky powered travel through the peaceful forest with the beautiful wintery scenery.read more
