1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Difficult to say, but the early morning boat trip was wonderful.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take a towel! Occasionally one was needed when we weren't at a hotel. Also a small cloth to wipe a sweaty brow!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, all of the above.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Fantastic, especially with our guide Wi.Kenny Thoms review 7 Oct 2025
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Mud bath with the elephants, jungle river tubing and boat trip on the reservoir.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Avoid rainy season if you can! It was fine most of the time but a bit stormy when on Koh Thalu. Maybe just bad luck. When the guides tell you to lift you bottom up when tubing down the river, do it, because the fish have teeth as my daughter can testify to! Ha ha.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. Nice to support the team looking after the elephants and their habitat.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Too many to choose from!! We loved Bangkok, everything we did in the jungle and relaxing on Koh Talu at the end of the holiday but canoing on the river, the fireflies, the railway market and the monks morning alms were other real highlights!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Waterproof camera was really handy, try all the foods suggested (some surprising ones are really good)!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We really felt that the places we stayed and the activities we did were a bit off the beaten track and not where loads of tourists were. As a result we felt we had a more authentic experience and really got to know Thailand and their traditions.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Our guide was lovely. We experienced Thailand for the Thais. She was great to guide us through our small adventure and was incredibly caring for our little family.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Indulge in a full-time guide. It really helps getting around smoothly. Do ask for a better detailed plan - the one we received was exciting to read as inspiration but did not provide enough information in regards to locations (no itinerary on a map provided), driving distances (sometimes we would be surprised to learn from one day to the other that we had 4 hours drive), or in terms of following some things on the plan. The info sheet we received with country tips was interesting yet it referred to Sri Lankan food for example so am not sure how much of it was not a hasty copy/paste. We were also informed that some of the areas we were visiting - especially at the end of the holiday on a island, were high season (hence higher prices)- however we were pretty much the only people there (another couple at best) and the manager said this was low season.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I believe the places we stayed were as locally run as possible and I really appreciated the fact that our guide wass very keen on making sure all service providers (tuk tuk for example) would be paid fairly and not a price outrageously reduced.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Although we would have appreciated more detailed information, we were so impressed by the country, its people and our guide.Holiday Reviews
