1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The visits to all the old Medinas - different in every city. Fes was especially memorable . Also the roman ruins at Volubilis were spectacular. An added bonus was using train travel - Casablanca to Tangier and Fes to Marrakech instead of being stuck in an airconditioned sanitised mini bus for hours. Sunsets and rooftop terraces were amazing. Best food by far was at the homestay.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Pack super light as you are moving on constantly. Do not expect many options for vegetarians or vegans - food is heavily meat based and overall was disappointing in terms of variety. Buy lots of snacks and drinks for long train journeys s there is very little on the train. Do not expect alcohol to be served nor to be available most of the time. Do not expect a family experience or meeting locals at the homestay - this was basically a local bed and breakfast with other tourists - the evening meal was superb but we didnt meet any family or locals. Take euros - lots of places accept instead of local currency. Do not get left with dirhams - you CANNOT change back at airport and you CANNOT use to buy anything at airport other than local Moroccan products (so no duty free stuff).

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes - stayed in modest local hotels. Homestay told us about conserving water. Took local guides and drivers. Were strongly advised against supporting tourist traps such as snake charmers and monkeys in medinas.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

I would rate this a very good and interesting trip that took us to different cities, avoided the obvious tourist locations, was varied and different, not too much time on buses or trains, a really good mix of guided tours and free time all under the care of a fantastic guide who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Nothing stands out as more memorable than anything else. It was all good in that I liked visiting cities I had not been to before.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

There is quite a lot of travelling by car, train and foot, so if you don't like this, it’s not the tour for you. (I did like it.) Also, although many optional activities are listed, it turned out that there was really no time for them, particularly those in Marrakech. It was not at all clear from the itinerary that they could only be done after the trip had ended, on the day of our departure.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. I liked the small hotels and riads we stayed in, particularly the homestay. I also liked that we had local guides and various local travel providers.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Ok. Certainly our guide Abdul contributed a lot to our enjoyment, but there was a lot of ‘free time’ with not much to do—or know to do—by ourselves. The heat at this time of year also dampened enthusiasm to go off exploring alone.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Chefchouan

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Do not fill your bag completely to leave room for purchases.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

All the guides were local. We stayed in a homestay one night.. I suggest that you ask people to buy water filter drinking bottles to save buying any plastic water bottles. Most customers refilled their water bottles from large ones that the guide provided from the kitty.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent. Our guide Mohammed couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Local guides were informative and entertaining.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We really enjoyed Chefchaouen and Tangier. We liked being able to navigate those cities on our own and the beauty of the areas. We also really enjoyed Fes and learning the history of that ancient city.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

The cities in Morocco are very challenging to navigate. Having a guide really makes this much easier but do venture on your own because some of our favorite restaurants were things we found by ourselves.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I think the trip did a good job of hiring local for the transportation and guide needs. It would have been great to get advice on a filter so we could drink tap water and not buy so much bottled water.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We loved this trip. My husband was skeptical about doing a tour and this really changed his mind about doing a tour. Thanks so much!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Marrakesh Express (cris y Stills and Bash was played) from Tangier to Marrakesh was memorable for many reasons.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

You really can travel light. Or much need ot opportunity to change for the evening.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Mindful of it. Not really sure how this trip directly contributed to those aims although assisted local economies. Not quite the same thing.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Enjoyed. Good variety of locations. Good experience travelling by bus and train. Issue of maps before we arrived anywhere might have helped use time spent waiting for food and allowed more purposeful use of time when in different places but issue maps much appreciated.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Visit Chefchaoen (the Blue City) - an artists dream - plus walk to nearby waterfall in mountains. Visit mosaic manufacture place and watch craftsmen at work. Majorelle gardens Marakesh - absolutely stunning.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

A surprising number of occasions of having to carry our luggage for short but un-enjoyable distances sometimes through busy streets. Lots of steep paths and steps, unsuitable for anyone with walking difficulties (as one member of our group had). Much colder than we imagined - however there was never any need for the sleeping bags we had been told to bring, so these just took up space. Should have brought warmer clothes.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Hotels in Casablanca and Marakesh (large and impersonal) were ghastly and unfriendly. Would have much preferred family run guesthouse as in Volubilis. This was absolutely lovely and so welcoming.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
