1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
This was a bespoke trip...so many wonderful experiences, hard to pick just one. History and museums in Bogota, staying in a 4th generation coffee farm in Manizales, birding in the Sierra Nevadas, hiking in Tayrona national park, visiting an Indigenous village, snorkeling and kayaking in Isla Murcara, fascinating history and incredible food in Cartegena! The tour operator was there for every step of the way! We never felt alone in Colombia. Great team!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take three weeks for Colombia...add Medillin to the above!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Every day we did something exciting/memorable. They set us up with THE BEST guides for all the activity days. The tour operator was amazing at taking this basic itinerary and customizing for my friend and I. We added 3 days of birdwatching, last minute added a helicopter and was a great balance of half in bigger cities (Bogota and Medellin) and two smaller towns (Jardin and Salento)2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Let the team customize to best suit your preferences. We wanted to spend more on activities and stayed in more casual hotels, but we also wanted to spend at least 2 nights in each place so did not feel like we were driving all the time. They had great suggestions based on our interests and the team all lives in the areas we visited so did a much better job than if I had tried to DIY this.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Every tour we did was with locals. The coffee farm we visited was more off the beaten path and a small family farm. We visited and learned about several of the preservation areas.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
This was one of the best trips I had ever taken. not just all the fun activities but the tour operator was just amazing for a custom tour company. Veronica was an amazing contact before the trip, helping us with the itinerary and tons of tips. Then once on the ground the team was amazing!! Every day they confirmed the itinerary, guides, driver, car plate number, what to pack/wear so we felt completely taken care of for the 10 days. It was both exciting but relaxing the whole time since all the decisions/plans were already taken car of, all we had to do was pick where to go to dinner.Marius Kristupaitis review 16 Dec 2024
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Hiking in the coffee region among wax palms.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Try to spend more time in one region as opposed trying to see all country in a short time, Colombia is too big and varied.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, worked only with local people.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Busy. I learned a lot about the country, history, culture and people.Holiday Reviews
