1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The hot air balloon2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Egypt is cold in the morning in February.. we did feel our trip notes were not adequate. Our first hotel refused to sell alcohol which is unusual for a 4* hotel. We had not been informed of this. And most of our trips started very early in the morning. I would suggest a woolly hat, a gillet, a fleece and a jumper. Strip off to a t shirt later in the afternoon. Roads and tracks are very uneven so make sure your shoes can cope with this.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
A great experience. Not for those who need sleep. Mass tourism meant we had crowds all the time and the Nile cruise was unexcitingFrancis Brian Lewis review 8 Oct 2024

Pace yourself carefully.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
To an extent. Got fed up being chased by aggressive people trying to sell things and I am well used to such people but Egypt is very aggressive.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Extremely good and the tour director, Mohamed is an absolute gem. He made the trip remarkable from almost every angle.Dezna Marks review 12 Apr 2023
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
There were so many memorable and exciting moment in Egypt, the size of the pyramids, the beautiful Nike, Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, the fantastic worker's tombs in Deer el-Medin, Mediate Habu and our excellent guide.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared to get up early which will allow you to miss the crowds and the fierce heat at some sites.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, we had dinner with a Nubian family in Aswan and there was some money left over in our tipping kitty which we all agreed to give to a local charity for children.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Absolutely brilliant, although action packed. We managed to see all of the main sights in a relatively short time. The accommodation was excellent and the food on the boat was particularly impressive.Paula Doherty review 20 Feb 2020
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The whole adventure was memorable. The very best parts for me were the overnight journey on the sleeper train, the cruise down the Nile and the camel ride. All the temples and tombs were amazing. Informal evening walks with our guide through Luxor and Aswan were memorable and allowed us to get closer to local people.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared for a series of very early starts. It was definitely worth getting up early to visit many of the sites before the crowds arrived however, it was hard work! Depending on the time of year, be prepared for potentially cold weather in Cairo!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
I did feel that the trip benefitted local people - from the camel leaders to the calesh drivers. We stayed in Egyptian-owned hotels and ate at local restaurants.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
This was an excellent and very well organised trip. The leader was superb - informative, helpful, well organised and interesting to talk to. Coming at the end of a long overnight train journey, I think the visit to Philae Temple should be part of the itinerary rather than an optional extra.Holiday Reviews
