We were blessed with excellent weather and enjoyed beautiful scenery in the Tyresta National Park and on the islands or Uto, Alo and Orno. We saw deer, moose, hare and many different birds, including osprey, white-tailed eagle and common crane. It’s hard to single out one thing. We enjoyed wonderful accommodations, especially the cottage on Dalaro. The island hikes were all great, especially the section on Uto. When you don’t know the region or the language and you’ve never done a walking tour, it’s a real leap of faith to throw yourself on the mercy of a stranger to ensure you can get where you are going, have fun doing it and not worry too much. This is our second walking trip in the Stockholm Archipelago and we can't recommend the holiday highly enough. The organisation is fantastic and the islands are so beautiful. We have been very lucky with weather both times with temperatures ideal for walking. read more

The spectacular views of Mont Blanc covered in snow , walking along a ridge with a
precipitous drop and scrambling up to 3000m to eat our picnic at ‘ The end of the world’ was very memorable.read more

We really enjoyed it and feel that Carmen from the host company did an excellent
job. The info provided was generally very good. Walking route descriptions and maps were excellent. Transfers and ferry trips were all very smooth. All local people we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. read more

Just fantastic...you could see the positive impact made on individuals and communities especially in the community homestays. The commitment to no plastic bottles and bags and the use of electric vehicles and local initiatives was very good.

We followed the Poon Hill route. Lovely walking through rhodedendron forests along well paved (but sometimes quite steep) paths...A good option if you don't have many days available.read more

All of the walks were lovely with interesting sights and sounds. We saw a red squirrel , badger and Orchids in the meadows. I particularly enjoyed the rowing across to an island... Wonderful.read more

Our children would say Kaia, our donkey who they bonded with was the most memorable. For me, the emptiness and the views. Possibly my favourite spot of all was the Chappelle St-Barnabe near Val Pelens where we whiled away a couple of hours in glorious sunshine with spectacular views. read more

The scenic flight in the Himalaya's was a highlight. The Jungle Lodge in Chitwan was fantastic and the kids loved it. Fantastic break - lots of fun and very interesting. Were disappointed by the Haze/pollution and hope to return during a clearer time of year.read more
