Hard earned butterflies. Strenuous to get to them but well worth the effort.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be in excellent physical condition.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Ate at local restaurants, used horses belonging to local people and led by local people, local beautiful hotel.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Seeing the overwintering monarchs in person. It felt a lot like visiting in the Grand Canyon. I knew the canyon would be big, but I was wholly unprepared for how massive it was. Likewise, I knew that I would be seeing a huge number of monarch butterflies, but I still was not ready for how it would feel to see millions all in one place.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be prepared to walk at high elevations to see the monarchs. Also, make sure you have cash as tipping is an important part of the local culture.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, the money spent on this trip clearly went to local people and organizations.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
