We had an absolutely fantastic time with Stan and G up in the mountains. Completing the Via Ferrata mountain climbing was probably the highlight of our trip - such an amazing experience and such spectacular scenery. Stan was a brilliant host and nothing was ever a problem. The food was great, our accommodation was spot on and we met some other great families during our week. So many highlights! The summit of Bobatov Kuk was amazing, a real achievement. The via ferrata was awesome. Stan and his lovely wife, G, went out of their way to make sure we always had something fun lined up - was such a treat to have everything organised around us. We loved all of it. The rafting was beautiful and the treks and swims in the mountains were just amazing. The water was so warm! We all had an inspirational time on the via ferrata as we challenged ourselves mentally and physically. The sense of achievement was incredible. I didnt think I could do it but I did. White water rafting on the Tara River. Our guide Vladimir was fantastic. Loads of fun, while still taking safety as number one priority. Our group of 10 were all in the raft and he took everyone's ability into account right down to our 6 year old. Stunning scenery, lots of opportunities to go dunking in the water and a good challenge paddling.read more

It was an absolute privilege to explore the beautiful mountains and coasts of Montenegro as a family, guided by local people. The Via Ferrata day was the most memorable and exciting for us. The variety of activities on offer complemented each other so well - a perfect mix of adrenaline and pushing comfort zones, and more relaxed times at the coast. read more

The day we traveled from Ulcinj to Virpazar was wonderful, especially as we got a van ride for the first 20 km, avoiding retracing the section with dangerous cross town traffic and shoulder-less road to the junction. The ride from there was absolutely superb. read more

Ten plus. Great. Danube river valley, roman ruins of Felix Romouliana, Kotor Bay. Just do it. Very diversified regions, lots of history and local culture. Off the beaten track, stayed in small family run hotels in the mountains of Montenegro. Other travellers were very interesting women. We all got along very well. Exceptional, knowledgeable guide, very personable driver. Hotels were a mixed bag of comfortable, simple, a few not so good but we were not in major tourist areas.read more
