Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, travel by bullet train between major cities, the freshness of the food, walking the Great Wall.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Make sure you download WeChat and Alipay before you arrive as these two apps are almost used exclusively for payment. Very little English is spoken so be prepared.. Make sure you have a guide for your visit - our guides in both Beijing and Xian were invaluable - both for understanding Chinas history and politics and for nurturing you through the large crowds at historic sites.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, local guides and drivers were employed and local restaurants utilised.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
