We loved this trip from start to finish. It was challenging at times, and we found there to be very little down time, but we would do it again in a heartbeat! Communication in the planning phase with both Responsible Travel and the host company was excellent and we felt in good hands throughout the trip, both on the ground, with our guide and driver who were competent, careful and very informative, and back at base where we felt we would have good back up in the event of any incident. The staff and guests were great. We had a lot of fun together. I loved hunting the lionfish and having a mission with every dive. We also got insanely close to some nurse sharks during our last day. The island is so peaceful. swimming out to SpongeBob Island was also quite memorable. The island is on a coral reef, so you could pretty much dive anywhere anytime you wanted. The boat rides were only 3 to 5 minutes to other dive sites. read more

So many wonderful experiences, the bat exodus at Mulu Caves, the caves, the wild orangutans, proboscis monkeys, crocs, fireflies, birds, insects. River trips, everything was wonderful and diverse. We were so lucky to have Stephanie as our guide she was a joy, so knowledgeable and fun.read more
