Pottering along in the Tuk Tuk with breathtaking views of rice fields, mountains & villages along the way. Sleeping in a tent next to a rice fields & being lulled to sleep by a stream. 1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The scenery, food and interacting with the local people.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
The pace is easy with plenty of rest time. The tuktuks are great for 2 people and easy to drive (although brake is quite high and not that comfortable). The 1st night is very basic, the 2nd night really comfortable. We were keen to interact with hilltribes - there is most opportunity on the last day. Prices for drinks etc outside Chang Mai are very low - you wont spend much!3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The uniqueness of getting to drive your own tuk tuk and take it up into the hills and national park! You get fun looks from people wondering what an earth a tuk tuk is doing there :-)2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Take layers - it does get cold in the north and the temperature difference as you go into the hills and out of the sun is really noticeable - especially if it's a bit windy and you're of course in the open air. We did have a cosy blanket provided which was more than adequate though.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. The guides are all local and we also had a local guide when trekking on the third day in the national park. You are taken to genuinely local places with local food. You are given a water bottle and there's a big water barrel on the guides' tuk tuk so you don't need to buy bottled water4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent. Such a fun and unique thing to do. We also learned so much about local culture, food and day to day life from our guide and saw places we would never otherwise have visited.Holiday Reviews
