1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Spending time getting to know our donkey - walking at his pace was an exercise in mindfulness!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
If you go in hot weather, pack plenty of water, sun-cream, hats, etc. There is not much shade in the Ardeche. And bear in mind that there is very little opportunity (if any) to stop at a bar or cafe during the day. You are very much on your own with your donkey on very quiet paths and roads - which is a fabulous experience.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. It supported local farmers and our carbon footprint must have been close to zero. It's a shame that the only realistic way of reaching the starting point is by car.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
An excellent adventure, something really different, and very satisfying.Michelle Prevost review 17 Jul 2024

The hiking was amazing. Beautiful2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Pack for all types of weather.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes - we supported the use of local products and learned a lot about the environment, economy and culture in the area we travelled.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Great. I love nature and hiking. And even though we were pretty shed out of our comfort zone in staying in less luxurious hotels, the experience was rewarding.Carol Boltz review 1 Aug 2019
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Every day was an exciting challenge, physically, but the rewards were I was spending time with my grandchildren and the people we met. Our hosts were wonderful!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Prepare the best you can by taking long walks and hikes. The trails are quite hilly, and my home is in the flats of Indiana (USA).3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, we stayed in the homes and on the farms of folks who made their livings on their farms, growing fruits, vegetables and using those products in their daily lives. Their hosting travelers helped support an agrarian life, remote and back-to-nature.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
There were difficult parts, and perhaps I would rate it more difficult than the 2/5 level that was described. But I loved the experience.Lorna Mackie review 17 Apr 2017
