It was excellent. We hesitated a little before booking because it felt quite expensive but it was really worth it. We are so glad we decided to do Cape Town this way. It was the people. Absolutely wonderful. I would love to go back! Definitely the Rhino Dehorning day. It was not a usual part of the experience, but we really appreciated that our host company sponsored the event to get the rhino dehorned, thereby putting into practice their conservation principals; and that we were invited to participate in the day. Wonderful - once in a lifetime. Each component was incredible and different - it sometimes felt like several holidays in one. From the city breaks (Capetown and Durban) to the wine country to the Safari to the remote warm Indian Ocean beach, each had its own special memory to offer. Fantastic trip through amazing landscapes! Hard to pin down but desert camp in Namibia Okavango Delta probably. Guides were brilliant - the driving on difficult roads - knowledge and enthusiasm and ability to deal with wide variety of people and situations.read more

Impossible to say as there are so many brilliant, breathtaking moments and places to choose from. I think seeing our first herd of elephants marching in procession with their babies in tow, was very emotional. As was seeing our first cheetah! Incredible. There were many memorable parts! Seeing a leopard so close, seeing the big 5, exploring different cultures - it was not a holiday it was an adventure! Excellent. The guides were super, if you don’t want to ‘muck in’ and help make lunches etc don’t book this trip. There was great variety.read more

It's impossible to pick out a single memorable or exciting part. Each day's game drives always threw up something memorable, either a new animal we'd not seen before or some new behaviour. Of course, seeing leopards on five separate drives was memorable but we were equally excited by seeing a herd of beautiful impala even on our final game drive.read more

Nature did not disappoint, every day & night we saw the most amazing sights and many days we saw more animals than people. The variety and contrast as well as the history and cultures we travelled through brought alive by our incredibly knowledgeable guide Andrew. Each location was a different delight staying in everything from bee huts to hippo chalets as well as the amazing Tshukudu Game Reserve, a place we were sorry to leave and will most definitely return to.read more
