1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We enjoyed observing all the wildlife in the reserves. The part that I keep replaying in my mind was seeing a tiger appear out of the forest and walk into the lake and start lapping up water.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

In November the mornings are cool in an open jeep, take plenty of layers and a warm hat. I would also recommend a cleaning kit for camera equipment and binoculars as it can be very dusty.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, many of the places we stayed employed and supported local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent. Sauraub shared his passion and knowledge as both a naturalist and a photographer. He also worked hard behind the scenes to ensure that everything ran smoothly.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Watching two sybling tigers swim across a river and exit the water.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Bring a good pair of binoculars.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. The parks I visited employed people fromlocal villages, and the parks themselves bring in not insiginificant funds and resources to the areas. Parks are well run and respectful to wildlife.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Had an wonderful, incredible time in India, and I wanted to make a special shout out to Saurabh. He was fantastic. I felt comfortable and confident in my travels through India. All details--transfers, flights, reservations, etc--were meticulously planned, and there were absolutely no problems with any part of my trip. Saurabh is exceptionally knowledgeable of the ecology and biology found in the parks. Should I travel to India again, I will make it a point to use this operator and Saurabh.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Amazing 12 day Wildlife trip in Madhya Pradesh, Central India. Madhya Pradesh has done extraordinary work in the Protection of Wildlife and Conservation while respecting the way of life of local Tribes. The National parks are managed carefully to ensure that tourists are distributed in different zones but within strict time slots to avoid overcrowding. Saurabh organised the whole trip, could not have done enough for us. We were warmly welcomed at Jabalpur airport and driven in a very comfortable car stocked with treats and soft drinks. We each received a welcome bag with little gifts including a scarf and postcards. We stayed in 4 lodges; Tathastu Bandhavgarh, Shergarh Camp at Kanha Tiger Reserve; Pench Jungle in Pench and Reni Pani Jungle Lodge in Satpura. The trip was very thoughtfully mapped out with suitable bathroom breaks. The accommodation was 5 star. We saw all the greats including Tigers, leopards, Sloth bears and Crocodiles. My friend and I were treated like queens. Snuggled up with blankets and hot water bottles when we departed each morning in the open jeeps for safari, picnics for breakfast. We had a guide and a driver for each sarfari, paid extra in some parks for a naturalist. We did a boat ride and a night safari in Satpura. The bird watching was excellent. I'm Irish living in New Delhi and I'm so glad I went through Saurabh because i never would have had the time and expertise to organise such a great trip. Everything was taken care of from flights to park permits and dietary requests. I did n't have to worry about anything which was such a relief especially when i had a guest travelling from home. This is a trip you could easily do on your own as we met some lovely like-minded people from all over the world. The eating arrangements at each lodge made for easy socialising. We covered alot, my only regret is i didn't add two rest days to make use of the swimming pools! We were both exhausted after what was a trip of a lifetime! To see Wildlife in their own Environment is a privilege.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Bring Binoculars and schedule some rest days. Great trip to do as a solo traveller.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Very respectful of local communities. The lodges and National parks employ local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

A trip of a lifetime!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Having a Bengal Tiger walk past our vehicle just a few feet away from us.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Naturalists are essential as they speak the best English and can give you the best nature experience. Also, staff everywhere are incredibly eager to help so if you have any issue, or the food is too spicy, etc. just ask!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I believe it supported conservation by funding the national parks and benefited local people as most of the staff were from local villages. Travel was by car rather than flight once there so environmental impact was reduced.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

10/10 People, naturalists, food and most importantly, wildlife, were all exceptional. Saurabh, from the operator, checked in to ensure everything was in hand. We were very well looked after.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Everything was really memorable. From the wonderful accommodations to the incredibly nice people and great guides. But I did come looking for a Tiger Safari and got to see 11 of them over numerous sightings. So that’s gotta be the most exciting part! Most of our group’s sightings were beyond our wildest dreams. We got to see a tigress hunting, cubs playing, a shy tigress going in the water to drink and refresh, a male lying right in front of our jeep. We got to hear them roar. And Saurabh is the absolute best. Great tracker, knowledgeable about their behavior and great instincts and predictions. At all our sightings we felt like we got the very best spots to observe. It’s indescribable. Seeing tigers and their various behaviors at the best seat in the house! And, if 11 tigers weren’t enough, we got two leopards, we got the most amazing sightings of a pack of four wild dogs, we got the gorgeous Indian giant squirrel, monkeys, deer, antelopes, palm civets, jackals, crocs, Indian fox… and I can’t even number how many bird species. The variety of owls was a very pleasant and unexpected surprise! Parakeets, kingfishers, raptors… large, small, colourful, not so colorful… birds for every possible taste!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

We developed a mantra in our group. In order to have a very successful trip: 1. Make sure you book with Saurabh. 2. Just follow number 1 rule and you’re good to go!Other useful tips: ask about the possibility of night drives. Take advantage of Saurabh’s presence: besides being a great tracker and a real sage about mammals and their behaviours, he’s incredibly knowledgeable about birds and also an amazing photographer. If you’re taking pictures and want tips or just talk about it, he’s your guy! If you’re not taking pictures, he’ll share his, so either way you’re good!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

It really did. All places provide water in thermos bottles, no plastic, everything was really clean, and whenever we took a walk or stopped for breakfast, if anyone found a piece of trash anywhere (a fallen napkin, a lost cap, whatever) they would collect it for proper disposal. Everyone is really conscious and respectful of nature, the environment and wildlife. I got art from a local artist, two people in my group got great pottery from local artisans as well. Not to mention the guides, the trackers and all lodges we stayed. Everyone was local, and everyone was awesome! All the places were great, really comfortable, great food, everyone was so nice, attentive, caring… I can’t praise them enough. I loved everywhere but Kanha was really special. Not only for the sightings, but also the locals with whom had the privilege to spend a few days. Katie, Raj and Asha were the most incredible hosts, guides and companions!

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it 100! Already on the lookout for other holidays organized and provided by Saurabh!

review 12 May 2024

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing a tigress hunt was the most exciting part of the trip. We happened to be in the right place at the right time, with perfect viewing. She was running after monkeys initially, then decided to go after gaur. Was amazing! We had so many fantastic sightings, it's difficult to choose. We also had the rare opportunity to see wild dogs. We spent some time watching them interact. This sighting was another highlight for me.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared to get dusty, dirty, and bounced around. But it's so worth it. I traveled in late April and it was quite hot, so be prepared for the heat, drink lots of water. Take clothes that can easily be washed and dried. But again, it's so worth it, was such a great trip. Have an open mind about Indian food. I like Indian food and spice, although likely not as spicy as they prefer. The food was plentiful and most was delicious. They will make accommodations for dietary restrictions.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, most of accommodations selected seemed eco-friendly, with water filters, so that plastic water bottles did not need to be used. The water was fine to drink. They also employed local people. The staff at all the lodges were very nice and helpful. We were well taken care of on this trip.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The tour was incredible. Saurabh is so knowledgeable about every animal, bird, insect, flora and fauna. He was great to have on the game drives. Sauraubh was very solicitous, making sure we were all taken care of in every way. He has a great sense of humor, which made the trip more fun. He is a great tour guide and certainly knows how to take care of his clients. And the game drives were antastic. I think we saw 11 tigers, with most sightings being outstanding. On one occasion, a sister and brother, subadults, were so close. The male decided to just lie down on the road, the jeeps had to back up to keep a conservative distance. We also had the opportunity to see these two play together, so cute. There were many more tiger sightings, it is difficult to choose the most memorable. We also saw leopards, wild dogs, which is a rare sighting, lots of deer, guars, wild boar, and many, many beautiful birds. Again, Saurabh was so knowledgable about everything. Having the opportunity to visit four reserves provided the opportunity to see different animals and environments. We definitely had a thorough immersion in Central India. The lodges were cute, with the staff being exceptional at most places.I would travel with Saurabh again, and I would highly recommend his tours.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Amazing animal sightings! We saw 11 tigers, two leopards and myriad of other creatures. Most memorably we saw a young tigress hunt and two cubs play fightings. I look back at my photos and can hardly believe I was really there.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Saurabh has everything covered. Whatever I was worried about (water, logistics, food allergies), he was totally on top of it. This holiday is intense because of early starts, long days, and the heat but it is so worth it!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I felt like we stayed at ecolodges that were focused on reducing impact while still keeping us comfortable. I really appreciated that we are provided filtered water in reusable bottles.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

This was an amazing holiday. Not only were the sightings amazing but the logistics were top notch. I really enjoyed all the parks we visited and appreciated how Saurabh would make modifications to the itinerary to maximize the experience. If you love going on safari, this holiday will really wow you.

Yes I did.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

It’s difficult to choose the most memorable or exciting moments as there were so many. The opportunity to see tigers, leopards, sloth bears and so many other animals in their natural surroundings was extraordinary. We didn’t know much about birds before the trip, but they were wonderful and engaging. An unexpected highlight was seeing a pangolin dash across the track in front of us. Even the Park Director wanted to see any footage. Saurabh our guide was knowledgeable and excellent at both pointing out and sharing understanding of the animals and birds. This was memorable because without his care and attention we would have missed a lot. The lodges he arranged were lovely and well located. Another bonus was the food without exception was wonderful.A small but important point was that all the transfers were very well organised and comfortable.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

You can check out any details or concerns with Saurabh before you book. He’s very helpful and clear. This is an outstanding trip and very good value for money.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

This operator is a small local company that use local lodges and people. The parks have rota of local guides and drivers so that opportunities for employment are shared. There appears to be a very good understanding that caring for the environment is beneficial for everyone.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We have been on many trips, but this was truly outstanding. The organisation of the trip was excellent and contributed greatly to enjoyment. We wouldn’t hesitate to plan another trip with Saurabh and this operator.

Local people benefited with all lodges having employees from local villages , all drivers were also locally employed

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Sighting elusive tigers in the wild was hands down the most exciting part of my holiday in Central India. However, so many other components helped make this trip memorable. I loved spending time in the jungle in search of animals and birds in their natural habitat, but also enjoyed the forest itself. -- I'd seriously never seen such a pristine, calm and spacious side of India before. The lodges I got to stay at were great, too., especially the super friendly Shergarh tented camp just outside Kanha NP and the delightful Reni Pani near Satpura NP. The staff at all lodges were amazingly hospitable, and the food was just plain delicious!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

1) Book the trip. You won't regret it! 2) If you're going on safari in December/January, please remember to pack winter clothes. It gets very cold on an open game vehicle. 3) Treat yourself to a massage if your trip includes Reni Pani (Satpura). The male massage therapist is excellent.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

My holiday definitely supported conservation. The healthy tiger population in Madhya Pradesh is a testament to how successful conservation is in the area. Of course, conservation efforts on behalf of tigers also positively influence a multitude of other species. -- Going on safari not only raises tourists' awareness of and concern for wildlife, but also contributes tourist dollars directly to the national parks. It is also evident that safari holidays in Central India benefit local people. Lodges employ almost exclusively local staff from the surrounding area. Also, every game drive is accompanied by a guide (and sometimes driver) from a nearby village. Guides and drivers are on a roster system to make sure that everyone gets equal chances at working. Tourism always has negative consequences for the environment, but I would say that Central Indian Wildlife Tours at least try to minimize the negative impacts.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The Central Indian Wildlife Tour was fabulous from start to finish! Everything was top-notch; the actual game drives were fantastic, the road transfers between national parks were superbly organized and the lodge accommodation was bliss. My holiday in Madhya Pradesh allowed me to forget about everyday stresss for two weeks and completely recharge and reactivate my mind.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing tigers!! I'd forgotten they are so big!!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared to get up early and it was a little cold when we went but all lodges provided blankets and hot water bottles. Accept that you may not see tigers.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, most lodges were employing locals and most of them were being run by Indians if not locals One of the main things I noticed that around the reserves the roadsides seemed to be cleaner and more free from plastics. None of the lodges were using single use plastic water bottles. I think Tim is making contact in the New Year and I have a few more observations which I'll make to him.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was excellent. They looked after us very well and all the lodges were very good. Food excellent but too much. No problems travelling solo.

review 12 Dec 2023

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Most memorable was the tiger sightings. But the whole experience from start to finish was stress free and super accommodating.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Book it. No need to change the itinerary as there was sufficient time on safari and also at the lodges.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes 100%.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

I would rate this holiday 10/10. Very professional, very knowledgeable. Always putting the guests first.

review 29 May 2023

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Everything was exciting about this holiday, which exceeded my expectations by many orders of magnitude! I'll pick out some highlights: - The very first tiger (out of 16 total!) - a stunning female that walked straight towards us and we spent some time with in Bandhavgarh on the very first drive - Spending a lot of time with a female leopard with two cubs, as well as a mating pair of leopards in a tree (didn't see them actually mate though), all on the same drive in Pench - A family of Asiatic wild dogs (a pair with 3 pups) playing around our car - also in Pench (same drive as the leopards!) - An incredible amount of birds species (I'm a birder - and if you are, Saurabh will have your needs met, believe me!) - I photographed 150 species in total (observed 170) - the boat safari in Satpura was a highlight for both bird count and photography - Fantastic night drives: One in Kanha (with leopard, palm civet, and a rare flying squirrel!), one in Pench - looking for wolves (saw one briefly), and two in Satpura (with a massive male tiger, sloth bear, jungle cat and the incredibly rare rusty-spotted cat). Night drives in Kanha and Pench have to be ordered and paid for separately, but they are very exciting and you see stuff you won't see otherwise. - Saurabh as a guide and tour leader was a highlight of itself. Extremely knowledgeable, caters to ones needs, a great photographer (if you want to learn a trick or two), funny, and an all-round great guy - Have to mention the accommodations as well, which was great! Loved all of them, but Shergarh in Kanha was special to me (the people working there and the beautiful place itself), and Reni Pani at Satpura at the end was just magnificent and perfect to end the trip on a high note. - Oh, and the food! I loved the food (but I just love Indian food - so I was in heaven)

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

I have plenty of experience working with wildlife in Africa, so I know first hand how much luck plays a part when it comes to wildlife viewing,. I'd advice you to do this trip with an open mind and without too many expectations of what you should or should not see. Then let Saurabh do his job, and you will likely get an incredible experience with plenty of great sightings anyway, as he really knows what he's doing. The drivers and guides he picks are people he knows very well and trust will do a great job if he isn't with you, and I can tell you from experience that they do an incredible job as well! You would be very unlucky not to see tiger, and most will probably have great observations with tigers getting quite close, but nothing is guaranteed. Leopards are always pure luck, as are many of the other predators. I really lucked out on this trip, and got the see way more than I expected! No matter what you get to see, you'll likely see lots of stuff you have never seen before (especially if you are new to India). So just enjoy whatever comes your way! Here's a list of additional tips: - Do not worry about accommodations, especially if they change, as Saurabh will always pick a place run by people he knows and trusts, and with high standards (at least to me). - If you want additional safari drives (such as the night drives in Kanha and Pench mentioned earlier), you'll have to pay for those as extras. I did that while on the trip - with no decisions made beforehand. - You might need quite a bit of additional money for various small things along the way, so be sure to have a decent amount with you. There will be stops to take out money at ATMs between the parks. Money will be spent on tips for guides, drivers and staff at the places you stay (Saurabh will help you with this). I had set aside an additional £1000 for the trip, and most of it was gone by the end. A lot went to tipping, but a few lump sums went into the extra safaris, a new suitcase (the zipper on mine broke), and me needing to book and pay for a new domestic flight (as I had mixed up the flight times at the end of the trip).

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Saurabh is a local guide, and we were always catered by local people. Most of them coming from the areas around the parks. One thing that became evident to me during my stay, was how well the parks are run (no single-use plastic allowed in the parks for instance) and how great they have been at including the villages and locals near and around the parks. They seem to live with a respect and understanding of nature and the wildlife, and many have jobs within the parks themselves. There is human-wildlife conflict (unavoidable with so many people encroaching on these parks), but to a much lesser degree than what could have been if it hadn't been for the seemingly great collaboration between the wildlife authorities, the parks, and the local villagers and farmers. The money from safaris in these parks directly goes into this collaboration, which then benefits the conservation of wildlife and the local people at the same time. There's also a limit on how many vehicles are allowed each day, to reduce the footprints of tourism.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

This holiday was simply spectacular in every single way! If you can't tell by my words already. For anyone with a dream of wild tigers and Indian wildlife, this is the trip to do, and I highly doubt you'll be disappointed. I really want to do this again at a later stage, and I probably will. Another two weeks with Saurabh, seeing some of the staff again from the lodges, the great food, and the fantastic wildlife. It just sounds two great not to do at least once more! Maybe this time I won't take 35,000 photos? Do not take 35,000 photos if you want a life afterwards.... But before I do this trip again, at some point in the nearish future, I will be doing a snow leopard safari with Saurabh (which is another one of his many holiday trips). As long as he's in charge, I know I can't go wrong!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The whole trip was full of memorable moments, beginning with the first safari that ended with a close view of a tiger that we watched for some time as she woke and finally ambled off. There were numerous other tiger sightings, the best being when our vehicle was on its own. Each park was different and full of interesting wildlife, birds and trees. Other highlights for me were a few guided walks, spectacular sunsets and the boat trip in Satpura.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Let go of time, enjoy the long drives between the parks and make the most of every outing even if you don't spot a tiger. Have lots of small denomination rupees to hand for drivers, guides and naturalists. Eat the Indian food which was excellent at all the lodges.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The parks that we visited seemed to be run very efficiently with emphasis on conserving a good balance of wildlife and numbers of permits issued in a day. The tiger population is increasing by the year. The local communities in the buffer zones appeared to be invested in their neighbouring parks and are reportedly active in reporting any possible poaching activity. The lodges were staffed by local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Saurabh was with us throughout and as well as organising skilful drivers, great lodges and help with bookings, coordinating journeys and flights, he is extremely knowledgeable and was really good company. We were lucky that our group really gelled as well and we thoroughly enjoyed our time together. A trip to remember and can highly recommend this tour operator.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing wild tigers and a Leopard

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared for long bucking hours of travel in the jeeps.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

It obviously benefitted local people and supports conservation, but must have some environmental impact.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Superb. Was everything I hoped for and more. Saurabh as owner/guide of the tour operator could not have been better. Informative, enthusiastic, and hard working to make everything work perfectly, and the selection of safari lodges he had chosen were wonderful.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing tigers at close proximity - amazing experience.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Take a good camera and binoculars. Be prepared to be off-grid - WiFi is very patchy or non-existent - but there is lots to see instead of a screen! Take some warm clothes for early morning/night safaris. It really does get cold.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. It was clear that local communities were involved and benefitted.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Superb! We loved every minute - even the early wake up calls! Everything was totally well-organised , lovely accommodations and welcoming and friendly service by the staff. Saurabh was a fantastic tour leader.

review 25 Apr 2022

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We saw 12 tigers through the 4 Tiger Reserves! The most memorable was what we called our National Geographic Moment. We watched as a mated pair of jackals skillfully lured a tigress away from their den. At one point we thought we lost half of Team Jackal but in the end the jackals prevailed and the tigress decided to take a rest in a gully. Unforgettable!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

We were very fortunate to have booked this trip during the dry season because it was much easier to see the animals without a lot of leaf cover. Also, be sure to visit serval parks. The topography is different and interesting to see and it gives you a greater chance of seeing animals.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. The places we stayed employed local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

I could not have wished or asked for a better experience. I travel to see animals in the wild and this trip is now at the top of my list. It was even better than seeing the Mountain Gorillas! And that's saying a lot!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing all the wildlife and the Taj Mahal. Seeing tigers in the wild was amazing as was seeing a leopard whilst we were at Pench. Hard to say one thing as it all was an amazing experience. Also the warm and friendly welcome and hospitality we received throughout our stay left lasting memories that we tell to everyone.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Talk to Saurabh and tell him what you would like to do. He will do everything else for you. For the tiger safaris, it IS COLD in the mornings when you get up for 0600. Take warm clothes with you.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes we do, everywhere we stayed it was local individuals who were working there and providing the guides, drivers, waiters, cooks and helpers in the accommodation and at the nature reserves. The accommodation was all environmentally powered and as we were during the winter there was environmental heating.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We have recommended both Responsible Travel and the operator to everyone we have met back in the UK. Anyone we hear thinking about going to India we tell to contact both companies and also the amazing trip we had whilst there. We are talking about going back to see more of India next year or the year after.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Difficult to pick one out of many. A few that come to mind were the Taj Mahal at dawn, our first tiger encounter with a female and two cubs, a sloth bear with two cubs and a Malabar Pied Hornbill.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Build in time for reflection where you can just amble around looking at the small things, enjoying time and space to yourself. The two drives per day and long journeys between lodges can take their toll. Remember it can be cold on early morning and evening drives. Come equipped with a number of layers, hats, gloves and scarves so you can be comfortable at 3 degrees or 23 degrees C. Weather patterns are changing and rain can now fall in the dry season. A pair of waterproof trousers and a rain jacket are a useful insurance policy.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Three of the lodges were owner operated and had obvious ties to their local villages with most of the staff locally recruited and trained. The tiger conservation programme which covers the whole gamut from management of grassland and forest, education of the local community and the education of visitors is and will have a major positive impact.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Fabulous. I could not fault it.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The most memorable part of my holiday was where my Satpura camping experience was ruined by the local operator Reni Pani Lodge. We had paid a large amount for this experience. Due to situations out of their control, the location was changed. They did not notify us until 3 hours before we were to leave. We asked to cancel shortly after that as the location was one we had already visited. We were told it was too late, even though they had known the night before. The travel agent nor the lodge would take any responsibility for how poorly the situation was managed. It is a shame as other than this, it was a great holiday filled with wildlife. However when something went wrong, they were unable to handle it. This is my lasting memory.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Use another travel provider, or book yourself.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, there was a lot of local guides.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The holiday itself was wonderful. The hospitality of local operator and Reni Pani Lodge were great until a problem happened, and they were unable to deal with it professionally. It is a shame, as the potential is there, however I will never recommend them. I will be back again, and will source out another company. My lasting memory is not that of beautiful wildlife and amazing parks, it's the poor customer relations.

Read the operator's response here:

Hello Karen Thank you for the review. We had to change the camping location because a tigress had come into the area which had mauled a local villager. Proof of this incident was shown to you by the lodge manager in the form of local news reporting. Information about the incident was passed to the lodge night before your camping but only had an official word from the rangers the next day when you were in the park. For the safety of guests and camping team, the camping site was closed by the department and shifted to another camping site. Park rules and regulations are governed by the forest department and any changes to them apply to all. This is also clearly mentioned under our note section in the itinerary which we sent you. Since it is a jungle with wild animals, certain things are beyond our control. You were informed about this as soon as you reached for lunch after morning safari. You agreed to the new campsite and later on, just before the departure, you asked to cancel. By this time all was setup. Also, I would like to point out that we did organize camping at an equally beautiful spot but just down the river in a safer place. We use multiple camping sites due to many reasons such as if another lodge is already camping there, river overflowing or no water at all, movement of park rangers, census survey or in your case movement of a dangerous tiger. Above all, we do not mention any specific camping site because the camping site may change due to any of the above reasons. It would have been called cheating if we had not informed you about the closure of the camping site and directly taken you to a new site. Since we believe in complete transparency, we did not hide any facts from you and informed about the situation as they were. The campsite was an hour away so was also the original site but it takes 8 men and more than three hours to pitch a sleeping tent, dining tent, toilet tent, staff tent and kitchen tent. Not to mention that site needs to be cleared first and made sure that everything is safe before guests arrival. During the safari we visit many spots if there is a potential of a wildlife sighting, sometimes over and over again going back to the same place. These spots may also include where we camp. Since you are there for a wildlife experience, we made sure that you have a good sighting and does not matter if you have visited it more than once. Because of this, you had a good sighting of a mother sloth bear and cub along with other wildlife where you camped. Wildlife industry in India is small and people know each other. We have been working with the lodges for many years and feel privileged that we know the most staff personally since our job involve working with them closely. We are friends with many staff and managers but when it comes to working, we work as professionals. We do not want to hide any facts nor was the intention of leaving any negative impression on anyone. The only reason to involve the lodge into the conversation was to have transparency on the issues as we were getting contradictory views on the matter from you and the lodge. And the only way to get the facts true and straight was to bring everyone together so the issues can be addressed correctly. Since you were demanding for the refund it is imperative to involve the lodge where you stayed and they were directly responsible for all your activities and operations on the ground. We try to help every guest in whichever way possible if there is any problem. We tried to help you too and wrote a letter for your insurance company upon your request for compensation because the alternate camping site was provided. You purposely did not want us to mention that due to tiger operating in the area the campsite was shut and the new site was provided. When your claim was rejected by the insurance company, you threatened us for a refund over a bad review which we consider as blackmailing. This comes as a contradiction to the feedback you have left about your experience in Satpura in which you have clearly mentioned that it exceeded your expectation and felt like home. It was not our fault that the campsite was closed due to the presence of threatening wildlife in the area and the camping was done in the alternate site. We do not see how we are liable to make the refund. However, still, we provided you with a free sundowner and a bottle of wine. We believe in providing our guests as many services as possible to make their holiday memorable. In this regard, we provided you private jeep safari in all the parks even before the camping incident while you were entitled only for shared jeep safari. Overall we acted in your best interest to keep you safe while still providing you with our best services. We are glad to know that all the other aspects of the tour went smoothly such as accommodation at other reserves, transfers, guides, food etc. And you had good sightings of animals including tiger, leopard, sloth bear amongst other wildlife. Kind regards,

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The sight of a beautiful tigress walking towards us on an early morning drive.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Allow yourself some rest time - we did a lot of safari which meant lots of very early morning starts. We felt exhausted by the time we got home!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I hope so.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

5 star! The service was amazing overall (except Holiday Inn Delhi Airport which was shocking) and the people charming and lovely. Saurab from the tour operator did everything to make sure we were happy and we were!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The whole holiday was an amazing adventure so difficult to highlight any one moment. However, on the first day in Brandavagh, 20 minutes into our first drive with no one else about, we saw a large male tiger emerge from the forest just next to us and slowly meander across our path! Next, in Pench we heard alarm calls and managed to track a leopard to near a waterhole. Again we were the only jeep and sat watching her for some 15 minutes before the others arrived when she then sauntered off! Finally, on our last drive before going to the airport, we saw a sloth bear with her cub on her back walking leisurely across the meadow at Satpura - a wonderful sight and great way to end the holiday.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

The Indian culture recognises tipping and over the course of our two week holiday we spent approximately £500+ in tips for the guides, drivers and lodges so it is best to come prepared as there are few ATM's available. Also, during the dry season the safari drives are very dusty so a scarf is useful and wear 'earth' coloured clothing!!!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

All the lodges appeared to employ staff from the local area. It was also apparent that they are involved in educating the villagers and young people on the environment and the benefits of conservation.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The organisation and planning of the holiday was impeccable throughout. Saurabh was assiduous about checking that we had been met by our drivers and guides which was very reassuring. We were also very privileged in having Saurabh's company during the trip and his passion and knowledge of wildlife is outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any trip.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

See 9 tigers in the wild & interacting with the local people in rural India.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Trust all of Saurabh’s advice & expertise. He can craft a bespoke tour for you & your party. I booked “Wildlife in Central India” & broke off to visit Southern India. Saurabh made my flight arrangements & provided comfortable, reliable transport to the airport.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

All of the above. With this local operator you are staying in locally owned properties, not large commercial concerns. The owners treat you like family, not guests. Saurabh reserves the best drivers. Even when he could not travel with us all the lodge staff treated us with deference, as Saurabh & the operator are held in such high esteem.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

All our guides were very skilled at spotting wildlife & our safety was a priority. This outfit is outstanding! Saurabh personally greets all his guests. He is very knowledgeable @ the fauna, a skilled photographer & passionate @ showing travelers the real India. I can’t wait to go on another of their journeys.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The whole trip was fantastic from start to finish. All transfers went smoothly and all the guides at our various stops were waiting for us. We had an additional add on to Jaipur and Agra before going on to the national parks, which was a great start to the trip. All four parks delivered: had fantastic sightings, seeing tigers in all 4, as well as great leopard and sloth bear sightings (particularly in Satpura). Satpura was a lovely way to round off the trip, as the traffic there is much less hectic. Saurabh (the company owner) met us while we were in Kanha to check in and see how our holiday was going, which was a really nice touch.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

The 3 day add-on to Jaipur and Agra was fantastic, and was a really great way to start our trip - this was organised with no hassle whatsoever, so its worth discussing. Throw yourself into as many activities and drives as possible. Plenty of time to sleep/ recover on the long drives between parks!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

All the lodges were eco-friendly and clearly benefited the local community. You take a local guide with you on every drive, which directly supports conservation and gives employment opportunities to the local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

5 stars - the value for money was excellent. You would be paying double the price for a similar itinerary in East/Southern Africa

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Not just one - lots: Tigers, at Kanha, particularly our last sighting. Meeting Saurabh our agent, he's lovely. The hospitality at Shergarh and the Nimbu Pani after a hot safari. Camping (more like glamping), seeing Sloth Bear on the walking safari, and seeing Asian wild dogs at Reni Pani. Fabulous sighting of leopard at Pench (but not the dust). Watching termites build a nest whilst walking in the buffer zone near Shergarh. All the birds everywhere.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Shergarh and Reni Pani are real treasures, very different but both great. Don't go expecting to see one particular animal just enjoy what turns up - it's all special. The transfers between camps are quite long but there's lots to see en route. Try to speak to Saurabh (free via What's App), rather than just relying on emails. Always carry toilet paper.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, the camps bring local employment in an area that is still very poor and the people are generally pleased to see you which is a good sign. The National Parks are extremely well run and provide employment for a lot of people as well as essential sanctuaries for the wildlife. We were also impressed with the environmental ethos behind how the camps are managed, particularly Shergarh.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

EXCELLENT

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

having seen tigers in their lives; the sightings in Bandhavgarh Park were particularly rewarding, mainly a mum waiting for the cubs to find their path to join her without any apparent anxiety from her or them!!! those are regal animals

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

My goal was to see tigers, hence Bandhavgarh and Kanha Parks seem to provide more chances of sightings, but stay at least 3-4 days with 2 safaris per day. I prefer Bandhavgarh Park, natural beauty and diversity of scenery and the Host at TigerGarh makes a huge human contribution given his natural warmth and deep knowledge.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I guess so, all lodges employ people from the local villages and train them, even Satpura which is more luxurious (only had a short stay. All lodges were definitely commited to conservation and ecological concerns; I did not understand the lack of solar panels apparently too expensive.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Apart from the stay in Boramadeho, which might have been better rated if before the parks, once you see tigers one forgets everything else...

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing a tiger and her cub up close for ten minutes, or so.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Everything went so smoothly. All our pick-ups, lodge stays, everything, so nothing to add there. The main issue is tipping. take enough money for tips. Saurabh provides an indication, but we managed to spend $600 and I undertipped in a few places when park guide service was under par. I have to say, that in those cases, the guides didn't expect me to tip, but I still felt that they needed something to take home, so just tipped less.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Absolutely. The lodges used local staff that they had trained, they were environmentally conscious and did a lot in training villagers to be park guides and drivers (I'm thinking here of Forsythe Lodge in Satpura).

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was brilliant!!! Saurabh was an excellent planner and adapted the beginning and end of the trip to our needs. Everything he planned, worked. A driver was always waiting for us, earlier than the stated time. The lodges he selected were simply amazing (except in Pench). He put a driver, Guddu, at our disposal for the time we were in Bhopal, and though the driver's English was basic, he was reliable and caring.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

It is practically impossible to pick one thing out of so many - seeing a sloth bear and her two cubs was very special, watching a leopard relaxing on a rock - and that is before starting on the birds! However when pushed we have two different answers (as there were two of us there) - his was his first sighting of a tiger when it leapt across the path in front of us and mine was following a tigress along a track, she lay down and had a rest before continuing on her way quite unhurried.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Try not to focus on seeing one animal - there are so many to see that it is mind-blowing. Every safari is different - embrace that. Give yourself time to relax and absorb the atmosphere and the sounds - you do not have to do 2 safaris each day as there is a lot that can be seen while just sitting on your verandah.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. Local people were employed everywhere we stayed and at all the parks. All the lodges were very aware of the environment and the problems that we face - each one was working hard to minimise our impact.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was an amazing experience and we enjoyed it enormously. Saurabh put together exactly the programme that we asked for and looked after us with extraordinary patience and cheerfulness. In hindsight we would not insist on so many safaris as we got very tired by the end of our third week but that was our own fault as we refuse to acknowledge our increasing age. We both loved every minute of this holiday - not just the fantastic wildlife, the enchanting people, the scenery, the remarkable kindness that we encountered in India, but the food deserves a special mention too. We love Indian food and we enjoyed every meal. We learnt a lot about India during our stay and would love to return.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing tigers. In particular saw tiger cub and tiger stalking deer. Loved the accommodation in Kanha. Really enjoyed the Indian food.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Check the weather temperatures before leaving. At night and in the morning the temperatures were very cold, around 5 celsius at times and in the day up to 16 celsius. This was in January. Have a think how many safaris you want to do. I probably did too many safaris.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Certainly

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Saurabh (the tour guide) made this an amazing trip and fulfilled a dream of seeing tigers in the wild. His passion/ knowledge for wildlife is amazing and was on hand to give me camera tips to ensure I captured the memorable moments.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing something for the first time whether it be a bird, a butterfly or a tiger. Every outing and experience was exciting. Seeing village life first hand and interacting with local people was very memorable. First class accommodation with first class food..

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Make sure you have your binoculars and cameras ready at all times. Don’t have any preconceived ideas, just go with the flow and enjoy whatever comes your way. Don’t expect to see tigers on every outing.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Absolutely. Local people were employed in lodges and as guides There was a concerted effort to reduce plastic waste. All wildlife was treated with respect and we were constantly aware that we were visitors in their ‘home’

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The holiday was extremely well planned and varied. The naturalists were very knowledgable and easy to talk to with endless patience. All staff in the lodges made us feel very welcome and as if we were staying in their own home. The food was outstanding and the standard of accommodation first class. Saurabh accompanied us for the first part of our holiday and was great fun as well as being a knowledgable guide. When he left us he constantly made contact with the lodges to ensure that we were ok and that our transfers were on time and everything in order. He telephoned us at the end of our stay to see ask our opinion of how the rest of the holiday progressed and if we had any complaints or unresolved issues. He is constantly looking for ways to make improvements and maintain his high standards. The home stay was excellent and offered an opportunity to interact with village life on a personal level. Nothing was too much trouble. This was an amazing holiday and we would highly recommend it. Nothing can compete with local knowledge offered by local people.

Saurabh put our group trip together with only four people and it was perfect as we had personal attention but still had the fun of sharing the experience with others. I would strongly recommend this company if you want to see wildlife in India.

Yes, the national parks employ so many local people. The camps buy products locally if possible. Most places have water filter systems so you don't have to drink bottle water.

There were so many memorable aspects of our trip that it is hard to mention just one. We saw beautiful wildlife, our accommodations were top notch, and we did not have to be concerned with any details as Saurabh took care of everything!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be very specific about your interests and preferences to Saurabh because he will do his best to make your wishes come true.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes! Local people worked in all the lodges and local guides were always on safari with us. Local drivers took us from one lodge to another. Lodges used specially filtered water to significantly cut back on the use of plastic bottles, some used produce from local villages for our meals, all were conscious about the use of electricity and all used natural means to keep the swimming pools clean.

The wildlife safaris were excellent with very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides. The stay at Bhoromadeo Jungle retreat was amazing, with the host Sunny and his wife and team making us feel so welcome. We were taken to local markets to buy vegetables for our dinner and also took part in the colourful Holi celebrations.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be open minded, happy to visit local villages, and don't put pressure on your wildlife guides to find a tiger. There's so much else to see as well.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

All the places that we stayed in were very aware of the impact on the environment of plastic, waste and pollution. Certainly the nature reserve accommodations used treated water rather than bottled water. We shopped in the village markets for our food. The safari drives were very respectful of the animals in the reserves.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We had a wonderful trip, staying in fantastic tents in Satpura, Pench and Kanha. We had great food and met such interesting people. Our drivers kept us safe and that's a challenge on the many raods that were under construction. We loved it all!! Thank you!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Thank you for introducing me to Saurabh Agrawal and the tour operator we used. I had a great time and view the trip as highly successful. I have visited India and Nepal several times. This time I wanted to focus solely on photographing tigers. My expectations were exceeded. There is no doubt that luck plays a part in any wildlife viewing, but equally, if not more important, is designing a trip that will allow good luck to function. Saurabh chose the locations, the accommodations and the people who accompanied us. He acted as my guide. The vehicle used to transport us between locations was roomy, comfortable and spotless. The driver was good, not too fast, not too slow and not reckless. ( Believe me I've had my share of drivers who left me shaken.) I gave Saurabh my accommodation preferences and each of the three I used matched these well. As a guide and travelling companion Saurabh was excellent. He has the experience to select the areas on which to focus, to know signs to be followed, to spot the animals and to position clients well in order to take photographs. Saurabh has a broad knowledge of the world and can participate in any type of discussion. He is kind and considerate and looked after this 73 year old solo traveller well.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

For anyone looking for a similar trip to that which I completed I can highly recommend our tour operator. I met others for whom the company had made arrangements and their views mirrored mine. Allow six months to ensure good zone selection choices in the parks. Each park is split into several zones, overall park entry and individual zones must be pre-booked. The topography and vegetation of each zone differs so the zones selected to see specific bird types and those selected to see tigers may differ. It would be preferable to request of our tour operator either a general interest quest or a list of specifics. I find it is preferable to spend several days in one park to a day or two in several. The distances between parks is not always large but the travel time almost certainly is. A change in parks basically equates to a dead day for me, for others it may be seen as a great way to see village life. Tipping is a way of life on these trips - expect to contribute a low of 500 and up to 1000 rupees a day plus whatever you give your overall guide at the end of your trip. Visitors will need many, many, many 100 rupee bills. Many villages or small towns may have only one ATM or none at all, if there is one and it is not working it can be a problem, it's probably best to stock up in a city. For tipping in accommodations it is best to avoid giving tips for every little service, rather leave 300 to 500 rupees per day to be shared by staff.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I am sure you know better than I do that tourism, especially in India, is a labour intensive industry. This trip certainly contributed to the employment and therefor well-being of many people. In the Jeep with me as we searched were Saurabh, a driver and a Government Game Ranger. The check- in procedure for the park involved at least two people apparent to me, but probably more. There is no doubt that tourists travelling in the parks have changed the environment. The animals are habituated to vehicles; whether this is good or bad is subjective. The parks I visited appeared to me to be near or at their carrying capacity and animals seeking territories can extend their areas into "buffer" zones and beyond thereby increasing human/animal conflict. Government policy may or may not be adequate to resolve the situation. The parks are also at tourist carrying capacity. The lead time for booking and relatively high costs support this view. It can only get worse.

Be patient, be optimistic and don’t expect instant success

Yes. The lodges all employed local staff as did the national parks and they were very conscious of environmental matters. Preservation and protection of all the wildlife within the parks was paramount.

Fantastic.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The first sighting of a wild tiger.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

On your arrival at Delhi international Airport, there is an Inter-terminal Transfer Counter outside (near pillar n°10) where you can get a coupon to take a complimentary shuttle to the domestic flights terminal. At the end of your holiday, there is a similar Transfer Counter outside the domestic terminal to reach Terminal 3. Apart from that, the traveller will receive a very complete Information Booklet with all the tips before departing. All the details are perfectly organised. Thanks to Saurabh! The hôtels are individual bungalows and you will share your dinner with the owners in Bandhavgarh and Kanha.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

According to the parks rules, you are assisted with a local guide and driver. The hôtels are not sophisticated and also employ local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Very satisfied

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The entire holiday was an amazing experience that exceeded our expectations. If I had to pick a single most exciting part of the trip, it would be our first observation of a tiger in the wild in Bandhavgarh. Listening to the alarm calls of Sambar deer and movement in the leaf litter before her appearance just metres in front of our vehicle, something i'll never forget.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Go in with an open mind and embrace the culture, food and experiences!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Definitely, the majority of places we stayed at were eco-friendly lodges using sustainable often locally grown produce. Staff that we talked to were also often local people from the villages just down the road from the lodges and national parks.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

10/10 could not fault it! Exceeded our expectations!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Too many to mention but seeing tigers, leopards and so many wild dogs close up in the wild was a wonderful experience.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

1) Take notice of the guide - when he says it will be "dusty", I promise you it will be dusty. When he says "hold on", hold on tight. 2) Don't be afraid to try the local cuisine. The food was fantastic. 3) You won't see a tiger each time you go to a reserve, in fact you may not even see one, but there will always be something to interest you. 4) Always have your camera ready and take binoculars on each trip.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Local guides in the reserves provides employment for the area and the required local knowledge to get the best from the trip. Mostly local villagers were employed at the game lodges. The reserves are well run and I hope that the income from visitors to the area helps to sustain this.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It is impossible to compare many of the past holidays we have been fortunate to have been on, but this journey to central India rates 5 stars. It was one of the best. I think we were very lucky to have picked our tour operator to provide the holiday and Saurabh was a wonderful guide and naturalist (and new friend) who added a great deal to our enjoyment. I would recommend this company to anyone without a moments hesitation.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Hard to mention one thing! We were incredibly fortunate to have had some stunning tiger sightings, but that aside the trip that Saurabh and our tour operator put together was out of this world. One thing that was a real highlight was when Saurabh, along with Bagh Villas, planned a surprise private dinner under the stars for us; it really was an unforgettable experience.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Wrap up warm for morning safaris!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes - the whole trip was done in a way that felt like it did have an effect on reducing environmental impacts and supporting conservation. The water in the tents was filtered and bottled on site, therefore not increasing plastic bottle waste. All the showers etc are solar powered. They grow their own vegetables in the garden. It really felt like a very different trip in that sense to the more "commercial" holidays we have done in the past.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Absolutely 5 star. 10 out of 10. We were completely blown away by everything that was done for us on this trip. We have been lucky to have stayed in the past in some nice hotels etc, however this trip was 100 times better than anything we had done before. They people, the hospitality, the food, the accommodation, the wildlife, it literally was the trip of a lifetime.

Watching the tigers in the wild. They are truly majestic creatures.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Take warm clothes in winter. The accommodation and morning Safaris can be really cold.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Definitely.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The operator and Saurabh made the entire trip perfect. It was very well organized and catered to all our needs. Would recommend the operator to anyone who wants to discover India.
