1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Being in a lovely village in the beautiful surrounding of the Troodos Mountains.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Apart from a couple of booked activities, this holiday is self-guided so you can do as much or as little as you like. In late September it was still rather hot when hiking up hills so we stuck to shorter walks than we might do in cooler climates. The hiking trails were well marked and the local map we were given was really useful. The village is on a hillside and the hotel has rooms spread around the village - be prepared to go up and down lots (though there is a funicular lift!). There are several restaurants and cafes in the area at a range of prices.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Tourism in the village provides jobs and is helping to keep a previously shrinking community alive. The hotel and other businesses use local products.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
We included this holiday in a longer trip to Cyprus, and would definitely recommend. It was great to spend quality time away from the coastal resorts and get to know more about the local culture and nature. The hotel was lovely and food at the restaurant was excellent.Holiday Reviews
