We wanted a once in a lifetime holiday and that's what we got. I've tried to think of any negatives but honestly can't. Obviously, this kind of holiday isn't for everyone - it is an ecolodge in the rainforest that you have to zip wire into, but if you're ready to embrace whatever happens, you'll have an amazing time.read more

The peacefulness of the Kasbah, the warmth of the staff and the beauty of the surrounding landscape. The Kasbah itself was beautiful and peaceful and set in the most breath-taking backdrop. My favourite place was the roof terrace, where you could drink mint tea whilst reading your book or have lunch looking out onto the snow capped mountain tops - simply stunning.read more

Wonderful area for exploring (a car does help), and Methoni is a lovely base, a small non-touristy town (sleepy in a good way). Might try Fiona's places at Gialova next time as did find that we drove through Pylos most days anyway to get to various sites of interest, and beaches are especially lovely up there. Fiona was so helpful and welcoming through the week, it made a big difference. Also impressed by Responsible Travel who found the holiday and were quick to reply.read more

The most memorable part of our holiday was visiting medieval and historic villages (Fossombrone, Cagli, Gubbio, Fermignano, San Marino) while exploring the stunning natural beauty of the area (Gola del Furlo). Coming back to the house after a day exploring and sitting on the balcony with the most amazing views will live with us for a long time. The house is in a small village, 50 houses or so perched on the side of a mountain with amazing views up and down the mountain. Lake Como, our walk in Switzerland and the hike up to the next village were great. read more

I enjoyed the yoga pilates class in the open air every day at 8.15am, riding bikes just outside and beautiful cycle lanes and the fantastic swimming pool which was empty during breakfast and other times of the day... I really enjoyed and have recommended it to many friends.read more
