1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing orangutans in their natural environment. That was the primary reason for me to go to Borneo. However, there were plenty of other exciting activities, both in the nature part and the city part of the trip. The wildlife was wonderful, we were lucky to see pygmy elephants, a baby crocodile, proboscis monkeys, etc. On the mainland, I really liked Malacca and George Town, both very picturesque, especially off the main roads.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared for hot and humid weather, the humidity in Borneo was very high. Don't forget to bring binoculars, as well as repellent spray (really important on Borneo).

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, I have the feeling that tourism brought awareness to local people, that they need to protect their precious nature and wildlife. Even though tourism may also have negative impact, I do feel that it provides working opportunities for local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The trip was wonderful, it met my expectations. I think it had a good balance between nature and culture/history. Both guides, Rony in Borneo and Jason on the mainland were great guides, always helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this trip.

I really enjoyed it. The accommodation in the Borneo rain forest was basic and that's to be expected. The accommodation in Langkawi was also basic and that was disappointing.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing the orang-utans, especially in wild when taking the morning river cruise. Second best was the foodie tour of Kual Lumpur.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Relax on the trip. Every thing promised is delivered, but some times you have to just accept there will be delays.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. Local guides, hotels, restaurants and traders all gained from my spend. This supported conservationism by entrance fees, and donations to Orangutans.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Really enjoyable. Well organised. Excellent guides, plus they selected really good local tours for us.
