Truly amazing...The first view of Registan square in Samarcanda in the evening was incredibly memorable but the most exciting part was the opportunity to see a Buzkashi game on our last day.read more

There is no single memorable part of the trip that stands out, but overall the diversity of the experience across the length and breadth of the country will be memorable for a long time to come. The trip interacted with local life in many locations and gave a good insight into the Uzbek lifestyle and it's people, culture, food, history etc.read more

It was all absolutely brilliant. I really enjoyed seeing the local artisans at their crafts, the carpet makers of Samarkand was of particular interest... I loved this trip. It covered almost everything I wanted to see and do.read more

It was very good - but almost like 2 separate trips. The first part has long drives in the minibus into magnificent countryside. You are immersed in local life more, it is much less touristy and you have some great hikes. The second half in Uzbekistan is for the most part, a more traditional city sites tour with the typical tourist trappings. read more

Probably Khiva, wandering it ourselves having had a tour the day before and finding a trapeze show before a lovely dinner on a terrace with a view of the town.... being invited up to dance after dinner in a restaurant by super friendly diners celebrating in samarkand and then bumping into one of them the next day at their stall in the bazaar read more

Some great landscapes, especially Kyrgyzstan, some wonderful Islamic architecture, fascinating markets, very friendly people. Great to experience such a different environment with like-minded travellers. The night in the yurt and stepping outside in the morning to see the wonderful landscape.read more

The most memorable was taking 3 hours for the border crossing from Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan. Appreciating the historical importance of the different waves of civilizations in developing The Silk Road and the different resulting cultures, was interesting. read more
