1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
We were in Africa for the animals and got to check a lot of amazing ones off our list. My kids especially loved interacting with meerkats and being used as their lookout towers. Seeing lion cubs and hyena pups and so many elephants, zebras and giraffes and being woken up by hippos are all things they’ll never forget.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
The commute from Canada to Africa is LONG and you have to be ready for it. We added an extra day with no expectations at the beginning to adjust to the time change and travel fatigue and took a day after our trip to accommodate jet lag and those days were so important for our sanity.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Absolutely. The guides were all local. At Oddballs camp in particular, 2/3 guides walked home at night. At Khwai, they talked about how much the tourism changed their community and helped local conservation efforts. We felt like part of a big family at each of the resorts. We were there during a quieter time of year so there were only a few other groups at each lodge. It was an amazing way to see Africa.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Amazing. We spent so much time doing the things we love doing. Great time together as a family with very knowledgeable guides and amazing activities. A trip we will talk about for years. Our tour coordinator, Madri, even worked with us to adjust a few things while we were there. Super quick to reply and help with our requests. We were also met at our last airport and given bracelets handmade by local artists and assisted through customs by ana tour operator representative.Janice Gupta Gwilliam review 5 Oct 2024

Only for the last three, not so much for the local people only the larger companies benefitted.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
The camping at the Okavango Delta was really an experience so was the wine trail at Stellenbosch. The rest was a big rush on the safaris, not enough time at Victoria Falls.Read the operator's response here:
Not all charity activities are visible to guests as work goes on behind the scenes. Most of the lodges we use support local communities with education and jobs.
