1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The bird and wildlife biodiversity of this trip is too. Nihal, the guide was excellent too.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
That the value for money is not great, some accommodation is very very basic for the money you pay. Overall I don’t think it is good value for money the cost of the trip versus the services provided.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
In general I think so, every thing we did and everywhere we staying was very much environmentally friendly.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
In terms of experience and the overall bird and wildlife biodiversity is great and the guide was excellent and knowledgeable in my opinion the trip was not good value for money.Read the operator's response here:
We are very pleased that you really enjoyed your wildlife experience in Sri Lanka on our specialised bird watching tour and valued the expertise of our
wonderful naturalist guide, Nihal. However, we are disappointed that you feel the holiday was not value for money. You will appreciate that a private,
bespoke holiday as a solo traveller has significant cost implications. Hotels and guesthouses charge single rooms at 80 to 100% of the double room rate, air-
conditioned transport with chauffeur guide as well as jeep and boat safaris cost the same for an individual or a group, and national park ranger fees are
independent of group size. Also, the services of a dedicated expert naturalist on an intensive tour like this one, visiting many different locations and habitats,
has its price.
