1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Climbing up from the village of Stepantsminda to the Tsminda Samba Church, on the Causases hillside overlooking the valley. We had a sunny day and the trail quite challenging in places, as worth it for the view over the surrounding mountains and hills. I loved the mountains and the drive up the Georgian Military Highway.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
To bring warm clothing as it can be quite cool in the mountains.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We had quite a few lunches in the homes of local people as opposed to restaurants and felt that the money was going to individual families in the community.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
A very interesting holiday, visiting numerous Orthodox churches and Monasteries, seeing the beautiful buildings, learning about the history, past and politics as well as the culture of wine making and Georgian music. Go early or stay later to spend more time in Tbilisi3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
The meals in the local people's homes presumably benefited the hosts and we were offered water from one main tank on the bus to reduce purchase of plastic bottles4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
