Bardia National Park is a treasure of Nepal. The area is clean and well maintained. The area is not very popular among travellers that's why it is important to follow the rules and never leave your group. For your safety and not to infect inhabitants of the forest don't leave any food open and don't throw any food on the ground as it may attract wild animals. When you are lucky to spot any bird or animal don't scare them by making noises and don't try to attract their attention.

Very important not to litter that's why we request you not to bring any plastic with you such as bags, travel bath or cosmetic kits, wipes, snacks, and etc. Don't accept plastic bags from locals when you're buying anything. It takes time to set up a trend of plastic-free movement but we believe huge changes should start from the small steps in our country. Bring your BPA-free bottle to refill it every time with pure Himalayan water or purify it with tablets instead of buying mineral water in plastic bottles.

This area conserves a unique environment for many animals. It won't be possible without the help of donations and supporting projects. We will learn about it more once we get there and how can you help particularly.

All our suppliers are eco-friendly, many using renewable energy and only serving local food and we are happy to share the same beliefs with them.

In remote areas of Nepal, the only source of electricity is a solar panel which you'll see on mostly every house. It is used to have light, heats the water for hot showers, cooks food on electric stoves and as a source of renewable energy reduces carbon emissions.

We advise you to go vegetarian and eat more fresh food that is grown usually by hotels and restaurants owner's families while you are here.

We can also take a bus on our long-distance travel from one place to another instead of flying or using private cars.

People

When in Nepal it is recommended to buy locally-grown food, fruits and veggies, local delicacies, eat in local restaurants and buy souvenirs from locally-owned handicraft shops as in this way you support local economy inside of the country. We also employ our guides and drivers who were born and raised there to create an equal opportunity in Nepal to work in tourism and provide service. We will stay in locally-run hotels.

On our way, we will visit some workshops that educate and employ women. This is a huge thing in Nepal which allows females to pursue their dreams and not depend on family or be forced to marry very early. By buying their products such as bags, toys, clothes, scarfs, prints, organic home-made cosmetics you support them a lot actually.

We create good conditions for our employees: insurance, salary, once a year training, language course. We want our guides to speak a few languages besides English. It will benefit them and create more opportunity to get a job as a tour guide for specific nations as not everyone speak English.
Greet locals when you enter the house or any building, have a small talk, learn a bit Nepali, teach your mother language - all this brings only happiness to eerybody and destroys culture gap.
