We are deeply committed to reducing the carbon footprint of our trips and promoting sustainable travel practices. We actively engage in multiple efforts to mitigate our environmental impact.

-Human-Powered Activities: Our trips often include activities such as hiking, kayaking and cycling allow guests to explore nature without leaving a carbon footprint.

-Use of Local Operators: We exclusively work with local tour operators and encourage the use of shared, local transportation to reduce per-person CO2
emissions.

-Local and Sustainable Food Options: We promote vegetarian and vegan meal
options during our trips and prioritize accommodations that use locally-sourced, seasonal produce. This not only supports local farmers but also reduces the carbon emissions associated with food transportation.

-Sustainable Accommodations: We prioritize small, family-owned hotels that contribute to the local economy and are mindful of their environmental impact. While not all accommodations use renewable energy, many have initiatives to reduce energy consumption, such as solar heating and energy-efficient lighting.


ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

Protecting and restoring biodiversity is at the heart of what we do. Tourism has the power to support nature recovery, and we are dedicated to ensuring our trips create positive environmental impacts:

-Nature Restoration Initiatives: Our tours often include stays at accommodations that engage in nature restoration efforts, such as planting trees, installing bird boxes, and protecting local wildlife.

-Native Tree Planting: For every passenger on our tours, we plant 10 native trees in Patagonia. This initiative helps offset carbon emissions while positively impacting local ecosystems.

-Support for Protected Areas: We visit national parks and protected areas,contributing through entrance fees that go toward the preservation of these vital ecosystems.

-Partnerships with Environmental NGOs: We collaborate with local NGOs, such as Reforestarg, on reforestation projects in Patagonia, which focus on planting native species and rehabilitating degraded land.

-Guidelines for Responsible Tourism: We provide our guests with information on how to minimize their impact on the natural environment, including respecting local wildlife, staying on designated trails, and minimizing waste during their trip.

LOCAL ECONOMY

We believe that travel should benefit the local economy and empower communities:

-Locally Owned Accommodations: The majority of accommodations we work with are locally owned, helping to support family-run businesses rather than international chains.

-Supporting Local Markets and Artisans: Our tours emphasize fair trade practices, encouraging guests to purchase local handicrafts and support cooperatives. We also include visits to local markets and villages to foster a connection between travelers and the local community.
