Each of our activities share common goals and values. Our aim is to minimise the negative impact of tourism on the environment. We achieve this through not only providing a professional service with the utmost respect for the client, but also for the nature, monuments and communities we enjoy.

All of the activities throughout this 8 day trip have a low impact on the environment including; walking, cycling, rafting, castle or even caves visits. Our routes for walking and cycling in the national parks of High Tatras, Pieniny and Slovensky Raj (Slovak Paradise) follow official paths. Here we learn about the local fauna and flora leaving behind us only foot prints, avoiding damaging the nature around us. Any litter produced are carried with us, and at the end of each day, recycled.

In most cases our group size is no larger than 16 people. We organise tours for small groups who experience a real adventure first hand, which in mass tourism and large groups is simply not possible. With such a purposeful connection with the local communities and regions throughout Slovakia that we visit, we are able to provide more pleasant experiences to understand local customs, way of life and culture.

During this family holiday we prefer to use family run hotels in both areas; the medieval town of Levoca and the settlements of Smokovec or Tatranska Lomnica. By using local services, in sports, culture, entertainment and cuisine – you will also be making a valuable contribution to the local economy.

Local staff
Throughout this tour you will be in the safe hands of our local staff including your group guide, local assistants and your driver. By adopting this approach, travellers get the best possible leaders with expert local knowledge and it indirectly supports the local economy.

Shopping
Shopping is part of every holiday. This might be food, presents for your loved ones or just perhaps a small souvenir for yourself. To support the local economy and small businesses, we support shopping at family run shops and local markets rather than big supermarkets. We inform travellers where and why to buy locally produced goods such as souvenirs, crafts, local traditional specialities and any other products that are available in the region, as well as the benefits in supporting the local communities by buying their homemade products (wine, cheese, honey, wooden toys, pottery... )
